Hitman: Sniper is an action-oriented mobile game (inspired by the pre-order tie-in Hitman: Sniper Challenge) wherein you must eliminate targets using, as the title suggests, a high-powered sniper rifle. Though obviously you do a great deal more killing with a rifle than you would on the ground, don’t take that to mean that this game is missing the Hitman fundamentals. You can distract guards by shooting out electronics, cause accidents by breaking the railings they’re leaning against, and even dispose of their bodies using things like an industrial fan.
VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "The stealth genre is one that some would argue doesn’t even exist – many titles include stealth elements, but actually fit into one of a number of other genres like action, platformer, or third-person shooter. Ever since the breakout success of the Metal Gear franchise (in particular Metal Gear Solid), though, the genre seems on much more stable footing and it demonstrated that you can have a veritable blockbuster on your hands relying only on stealth mechanics as the main gameplay element.
In recent years we’ve seen other things like Assassin’s Creed, Hitman and Splinter Cell continue to push the genre forward, although it still has somewhat limited appeal. Thankfully, the Vita has a healthy selection of stealth games available (and even more with backwards-compatibility), meaning if you’re looking to do some sneaking on the go then you’ll be well served with the console."
Hitman Sniper is a mobile game developed by Square Enix Montreal and published by Square Enix Co, the game is known for its high-quality visuals and excellent controls. It is available for iOS and Android currently. However, a game titled Hitman Sniper Assassin has been listed, details of which are below
Carl Williams writes, "Hitman Sniper has gone temporarily free on Google Play. If you are in the mood for more action like Contract Killer Sniper, then you are going to want to grab this one. There seem to be a few differences between the two though."
