Tower defense games are a dime a dozen, so normally their release isn't worth a news article. However, SteamPunk Tower has a unique take on the genre, and it isn't just that it takes place in everyone's favorite alternate geek reality.
SteamPunk Tower is actually about a tower. Players build and upgrade the defenses of their steam powered tower while enemies advance from both sides. It looks both simplistic and hectic, with more than a healthy dose of style thrown in the mix.

GodisaGeek: "With so many Tower Defence games out there, Steampunk Tower starts with a great idea that works well for the most part, and it’s hard to fault the basic gameplay. It’s well-presented and nicely polished, with nothing intrusive when it comes to in-app purchases.
Sadly, variety is the main aspect that stops it from being a great game instead of simply a better-than-average one. There’s little to stop you feeling that you aren’t playing the same battle over and over again, while levels are less about strategy and more about how quickly you can move your most powerful artillery to where it’s needed."
