Top five boss battles from the Metal Gear Solid franchise

Metal Gear Solid’s legendary reputation is one that series creator and director Hideo Kojima has devoted his entire career in building. It is one of the most established series in gaming and often held in high regard, but it has also developed a prominent reputation for being at the forefront of debates and controversy. With the imminent arrival of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes in Europe, here is a selection of the five best boss battles from Kojima’s illustrious series. (Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, PS2, PS3, PSP)

The battle with python really? What about the epic show down of old snake and liquid ocelot? That should be number one and where the heck is the battle with the cyborg ninja? I understand this is an opinion piece but how are you gonna choose a boss battle from a noncannon game?

Portable Ops is canon. It's between Snake Eater and Peace Walker.

yup I've always considered it canon too. Gives more insight as to why Big Boss became who he is and how he got funds to realize his dream

Revengance not count? Thought the bosses were a major pain in the shitpipe. Not getting hit by any and getting the plat was awesome.

Yeah I'm sad lol

Took the cheap way out with The End because I didn't have a sniper lol

Just changed the time on my PS3 to a week later and reloaded my save and he was dead

Never needed a sniper for it anyways. I just found out where he is before he saw me, sneaked up on him and shot him 3 times with my Mk22, dodged his stun grenade and followed his footsteps to his next sniping spot, repeated as long as necessary. Piece of cake as long as you had the patience to find him without getting caught.

Patience is what I didn't have lol

I tried the way you mentioned at first but it takes a long ass time to do
