Fable Anniversary, an HD remake of Lionhead’s now ten year old Xbox original adventure/RPG hybrid Fable will be available for purchase both at retail and online this Tuesday (at least in North America) for $39.99. The question you may be asking yourself is, is it worth the asking price? Considering the fact that this is a remake of an already existing game, that question seems entirely warranted and valid. Let’s consider the facts and perhaps together we will answer this question for you.

Microsoft announced Fable Legends at Gamescom 2013, not E3 2013. I'd like for the new Fable to have the same artstyle as Fable Legends.

Fable II was probably the best of the series. It had its flaws but overall was definitely a step in the right direction. Fable III was a huge misstep in comparison

MS released Fable 1, Fable 3 and Fable 1 Remastred for PC.
Skipping the best one in the franchise.
Same goes for Gears: GoW, GoW Remastered, Gears 4 and Gears 5 are on PC.
And Halo: The entire Halo MCC and Halo Infinite will be on PC. But no Halo 5.
Definitely agree but you lost me with Halo 5. That was my least favourite Halo game (out of the Halo numbered titles)
Yea, same here. Only liked the visuals of Halo 5 (that too on an One X, it doesn't look that good on the One S)
But what I meant was, MS is releasing every Halo game on PC from 1 to Infinite, except 5. Which is a bit odd.
Coz the free Halo 5-Forge was quite popular in PC community during its release.
I never got to play it because I sold my 360. It should have been remastered.
The only thing I can think of is if after the release of Fable Anniversary they decided to take the series in a different direction. They might not want the new game to be associated with the older ones.
Well lets hope Microsoft are going to announce a new Fable. The MS fans deserve a great Fable game. If it is announced and the gameplay looks cool, this might convince me to get, at least a Series S. It would be my very first Xbox console.

The Witcher 2 or the first Fable are great choices for many people. I like Forza Horizon as well, but it's more of a niche title being a racing game. I know what you're saying about focusing on this gen but I can't help but think that going back to 360 games that are classics makes sense as well and, honestly, they look surprisingly good too. It's almost like you're playing the PC versions (EDIT: Traumadisaster seems to agree with this too).
What games do you want them to work on for the XBOX One that makes you feel this way?
i personally have 56 enhanced games on my xbox onex 5 of which are 360 enhanced games and they really do look awesome. FH looks great enhanced.
For exclusives like crackdown then I get that, but fable and the witcher2 I've had in 4k60fps for years with an expensive gfx card. However for those without pc I get it

You make that sound like a bad thing. If someone prefers a PC they got it covered. If someone prefers a console they got it covered. What's not to like?
Its not a Bad thing for the Fans of PC but it is for the Console The reason everything comes to PC is The Fans don't buy the games With everything going to PC the Xbox has no Identity. MS has forgot about who their fans are and what they want. They almost given up on their core What made Xbox successful in the past.

Its not a Bad thing unless you are in the business of selling Consoles. It is not a good business move. It makes no sense to make your Console as irrelevant as possible by putting everything on PC. lol they are still touting the best games lineup using the same games they did years ago (how many years do we need to see crackdown, ashen, and state of decay 2?). And think of all the great xbox1 exclusives these past 4 years... Fable... Scalebound... Project Spark... Hololenz... Phantom Dust... those 3 games coming from the black tusk people... Man so many legendary games, no wonder everyone loves xbox 1
IF you hate games because you have seen them for to many years then you hate almost every ps4 exclusive.. and missing out on great games

Microtransaction-ridden services is what it mostly boils down to. They're doing a fantastic job with the legacy support for exclusives (and games in general) of the past though. I can see why they want to draw attention to the exclusives of past though. The glory days are much more ideal to promote than what happens to be their worst generation ever.
