Grand Theft Auto V Review (Single Player Portion)

Before I start…

We at CCU want to approach our reviews a little differently, by providing you — the reader with our history with said game. You know, hitting the extremes and everything in between ie. whether this is our first time (noob) with the franchise (of course New IP’s everybodies new to it right?) or if we’ve bought every game in the franchise or have extensive history or knowledge of a particular title.

Basically our personal background so you again — the reader can see not just a review score but exactly the mindset behind the review; is this my first time playing A RPG? A first person shooter? Do I even like first person shooters? That way you can determine whether the person reviewing the game is coming from a place where you can relate or if it’s something that you need to consider.

Now as far as GTA V…

Even though GTA 5 was good it doesn't deserve game of the year. For a start it had less missions then some of the previous GTA's, it wasn't as fun for example lack of the top stuff like flame throwers and the army chasing you down the street, there where less vehicles then some of the previous GTA's, the online is just rubbish and gets boring quickly. Overall the game is good but GTA SA/VC are still my favorites by a long shot.

Some of the stuff you said is false. GTA V has the most vehicles out of any GTA game. A total of 257 vehicles to use. Also, if you want military pursuing you, just cause havoc outside of Fort Zancudo, tanks and military personal will attack you in Military Crusaders. Come on though, SA's and VC's AI is outdated. Play it right now, and it's not as fun as you imagine it in your head. And even though GTA V's mission count felt shorter than previous games, the missions weren't repetitive.

@SneakyDoo I do regularly still play GTA:SA and GTA:VC and there still find them more fun then GTA5, its funny how people give dislikes for opinions on this site

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
