Twitch streaming will be future of most of the YouTube guys who upload constantly if they keep getting false flags on videos they will just stop uploading to YouTube.

I watched a podcast the other night with Boogie2988 talking about the future of gaming on YouTube and how partnered channels will have to wait between 12-48 hours before they can monetize videos so youtube can do checks for copyright. This will really suck if people have to wait 48 hours before they can upload reviews and stuff for new games that have just come out and also for people who make videos on the latest news things.

What podcast did you watch?

user14394144213d ago (Edited 4213d ago )

@aawells07 it was PKA on Woodysgamertag's youtube channel here is the link to it http://www.youtube.com/watc...

But Boogie just made a video on this subject today on his main channel that is worth watching, it brings up some very good facts.

Blizzard supporting gamers :)

Thats why i support Blizzard with my wallet, still play WoW, will be getting the new expansion and i cant wait for D3 Reaper of Souls.

Maybe the third party copyright filers are the news industry fighting back, their lost control?

Seeing how the real copyright holder isn't the one filing all these claims....

Alright tin foil hat off. God riddance!

@spinal

I find activision blizzard actually pretty straight forward in how their business model is. They get a lot of flack for annual games, but they aren't hiding behind online passes or other schemes. It is what you see and I think that is important.

I love blizzard!

It seems to be automatically picking up music in the videos and applying content ID claims to them.

However, in many cases the companies that have attached their names to those claims are small 3rd companies that created music for a lot of different games and then apparently sold their rights to that music to the game companies.

Two examples are a company called IDOL and another called Pontari or something. They claim they own those videos even though they sold that music to the game companies.

Majin-vegeta4214d ago

This is great. In the end both parties will benefit. Gamer's will give more exposure to games in return PUBS will get more sales.

CursedHero4214d ago

I totally agree with Majin-vegeta! This is simply great ;-)

Rzep4214d ago

It's all downhill from here folks. I am guessing that in a year most big video game content makers move from youtube to greener pastures.

Jdoki4214d ago

If a simple and easy solution cannot be found to these ridiculous copyright claims, YouTube is going to quickly become redundant for game reviews / broadcasting.

If Twitch or UStream can improve their archiving of recorded content then they could easily unseat YouTube as the go-to place for gamers.

Well done Capcom and Blizzard for their quick reaction to this problem.

I feel a new DMC on the horizon.

thorstein4d ago (Edited 4d ago )

New IP, please. Used to be (in the 80s) if it was a Capcom game, you knew it was good.

jznrpg4d ago

Pragmata is a new IP so there’s that. Another one would be nice though

Babadook74d ago (Edited 4d ago )

Honestly Capcom is still somewhat of a seal of quality for me.

shinXseijuro4d ago

Trust me I’m a Capcom baby. Got fond memories of Megaman and all the good library they had on snes 😂 . I always felt bummed Capcom shunned Megaman tho ever since inafune left the company . Pragmata seems like it’s a new Megaman sort of
