Recent survey shows only 39% of people want the Xbox One

A recent survey showed that only 39% of all people who took it want Xbox One, a survey that was made by Intergi Entertainment was brought about as the company wanted to gauge consumer interest in next generation consoles. With over 5,000 people taking it from over 1,500 sites, it was calculated that less than half want Xbox One. PS4 was standing in a much better position with more than 58% said that they want the Xbox One.

Sony sold more than 1 million PS4's in NA the first 24 hours. Sure some of those are bricked. Consumer electrons have a failure rate. What else is new? Sony talks about a 0.4% failure rate.

Remember the Xbox 360 launch? The failure rate was over 20%!!!

Laughable. You cannot do accurate polls that way. It is too demographic dependent. Which groups are responding to the poll? Are they kids? Are they the people that are actually going to buy the console? The problem with a poll like this is that it targets only a small amount of the actual customer base.

Can the poll be taken by the same person multiple times? What websites were the poll placed on? Were they neutral sites?

The only way to do accurate polling is cold calling (i.e. random polling) so that your poll is unbiased. Asking people on websites to enter a poll about a specific question invites bias immediately.

I saved the best for last. Guess who the company that did this poll is partnered with. You guessed it SONY!

39% is a little high. 26% is more accurate.

Of course a lot of PS4 owners will own both or all 3, but this data specifically shows where all the main interest is.

We will see in a few months how each install base measures up.

My PS4 runs fantastically & its beautiful.. xbone is HUGE, $100 more, likely to incorporate DRM later in the systems lifecycle.. United States... United States... this little thing is huge! Xbox is losing in their house! the place that have more than 55% of all xbox sales! 58% vs 39%, they are losing for like 45% in their house, the same place that used to have a 60% lead in xbox favor...
man, if this goes for sales i can see a dire situation for X-1, because if they lose in USA for like 20%-40% they are going to lose for like 50-70% in the rest of the world.
This isn't good, i want a competition, not a massacre! i don't want sony to get "we are the best" and end doing some shit like early days ps3!
