New Battlefield 4 patch improves performance, causes new problems

The recently released Battlefield 4 patch brings new problems, such as a weird "motion blur" effect. (Battlefield 4, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

DICE, what has happened? Forgot how to fix games? Good thing I held on pre-ordering this time.

Forgot? They never knew how to begin with. I'm really not sure why people seem to give Battlefield 2 a free pass. It was an incredibly buggy mess that had an absolute plethora of issues. Each patch was bigger than the last, usually put out to fix something the previous patch introduced, while in turn introducing some new issue. Even the patches had installation issues. It was just nothing but trouble. The netcode was terrible and inconsistent, the game just fucking sucked, even after many years of being released. The Battlefield games have always been buggy messes, but the underlying game is rather good - which makes it even more frustrating.

My point is, Dice are horrible at optimization and bug fixing. Although that said, I've had better experiences with their later games. But this news is just not surprising at all and honestly made me laugh at how it reminded me of Battlefield 2 and it's huge ass patches.
