After visiting the Dutch round of the DTM series I was lucky enough to have a sneak peek at SimBin’s newest racing project “DTM Experience” that will be released for PC this winter. Time for a little hands-on preview.
DTM Experience features all the teams and drivers of the major German car brands allowing you to race in the Audi RS5 DTM, BMW M3 DTM and the DTM AMG Mercedes C-Coupé.
Of course all the nine circuits of the championship are included as well: Hockenheimring, Brands Hatch, Red Bull Ring, EuroSpeedway Lausitz, Norisring, Moscow Raceway, Nürburgring, Oschersleben and Zandvoort.
Troubling news are coming in from Sweden as Simbin Studios AB, long-time producer of sim racing titles, is apparently bankrupt and going out of business.
The sad news has been confirmed by former Simbin employee AnneSofie W. Madsen on Facebook.
As confirmed by AnneSofie, RaceRoom Racing Experience is planned to “continue in another setting”, the fact that staff has been laid off indicates that the new outfit will undergo some serious restructuring.
This is what happens when the business side of gaming is shooting to be the next billion dollars hit like candy crush.
Hopefully some people learn from this and don't try to apply this to all their games ( wink wink EA ).
Their latest Project as awesome as it is was way over price with their Free 2 Race model that threw me off completely until recently with all the sale they had and the DTM Experience pack , Awesome game just marketed wrong.
Simbin the legend is done in name only though since they already updated the news that the studio will carry on the project and most of the members to a new location and under a new name.
The official DTM game, featuring all the cars, tracks and teams of the real 2013 season has been released.
Race against the current series champion Mike Rockenfeller, runner-up Augusto Farfus and other drivers such as Christian Vietoris, fellow RaceDepartment member Daniel Juncadella, three times WTCC champion Andy Priaulx and ex-Formula 1 pilot Timo Glock and of course all the other stars of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters.

SimBin's licensed Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters game, DTM Experience, will be arriving on the 5th December, according to publisher RaceRoom Entertainment. The game promises to give the player the full experience of the German racing circuit.
The racing game will feature multiple difficulty modes, including “Novice”, “Amateur”, and "Get Real", the latter of which simulates transmission ratio, differential, aerodynamics among other parameters to replicate the mechanisms behind a real DTM car.
