GamesBeat: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is a gorgeously accessible and flexible MMO (review)

GamesBeat's Mike Minotti: I never played the original Final Fantasy XIV, so I can’t really say how this stacks against it. But regardless of how truly bad it was, I’m more concerned with how excellent A Realm Reborn is now. (Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, PC, PS3) 90/100

Being a fan of Final Fantasy I have to get excited about this. It's a given that there will be great graphics, great story, packed with emotion....yeah, I'm excited.

I've been playing this the past week or two. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it's enjoyable and looks pretty. And just the fact that I can actually log on and make a character already makes it way better than its predecessor.

Is there a subscription fee after the initial purchase? If so, how much? Thanks.

30 days free and then 12.99 I believe. You can get the full pricing on their website I'm sure.

Very well done MMO and it deserves all the accolades its receiving (server issues aside).
