Sony's Slow and Steady PS4 Reveal Strategy Will Pay Off

Push Square: "There’s a perception that Sony’s on top in the next generation race. The company’s adopting a humble approach in interviews, but it must be buzzing behind closed doors. Retailer charts place the PlayStation 4 in the driver's seat – even in the wake of Microsoft’s massive Xbox One-Eighty – and the media appears to be siding with the machine. Despite all of this, though, it doesn’t really feel like the platform holder’s played its trump cards yet."

it's working, I was originally only hyped for Infamous:SS, but the knowing more about Knack and Killzone:SF made me very interested.

It's kind of crazy that there is so much PS4 hype without Sony even showing their biggest series like Uncharted, God of War, LittleBigPlanet, and Gran Turismo for PS4 yet.

Yeah, seems like they are drip feeding news. Gamescom and TGS should be very interesting.

I can only imagine what Naughty Dog are going to reveal.

If they announced all 20 first-year exclusives at E3 my mind would of exploded and some would be forgotten the best plan is to reveal them in stages and that's what they are doing.

This the tactics they used during the PS2 Era, it's also the way M$ introduced the 360 as well when it first came out. You don't just show a bunch of games and that's it because a lot of them would just get lost in the process. By showing a few games here and there your attention is more focused on what's coming out soon instead of what's coming down the pipeline in the near future. We saw this with a lot of games that they have shown or announced but took years to come out like Final Fantasy games, LA Nore, The Agency, and many more. It's just a bad way of showing off what you have planned and just let's the gamer down in the long run because they have to what too long. This is the vibe I'm getting from the Xbox One, its like many have said before the third console curse.
