Yes it does. It's literally better in almost every single way to the Xbox One. The Xbox just does TV better. The PS4 is slightly more expensive than the Wii U and quite a bit cheaper than the Xbox One.

Divine3963d ago (Edited 3963d ago )

agreed. i always thought, actually I don't need to think . its pretty much factual. that even if xbox one took out the idiotic policies, even if they took out kinect. it still wouldn't change the fact that the ps4 is overall the better console.

HammadTheBeast3963d ago

Titanfall was probably the only exclusive that might have swayed me, but since its coming for PC, 0 fish given.

Okay at the start of this Microsoft fooled people by using terms. Like LEND/family/friends. Now they are being successful by using the term:
"offline game". Did you catch that, if you install a "off line game" then you will not have restrictions, that is the condition. What

defines a "offline game" What if only one game has the label of offline game on it? Mostly candidate would be a turned based rpg. Heck what

percent of games don't have a component of online to even the 360 games right now? Microsoft almost required it with few exceptions. If there

is a term "offline game" as a condition.

Then that is a out, for for Microsoft to change nothing! Don't trust a company that keeeeeeeeeps making pot shots at your rights. And keeps

adding names like "offline xbox one games", otherwise Fooled you twice! Are you going to let that happen?

Microsoft qoute:An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games....If they where not trying to fool you it would

read:An internet connection will not be required to play (any) Xbox One games. see the difference? I don't care if it drops to 199 It is still

taking away my used games rights!!! plus

Am I the only person that caught this?

they will make this CLEAR. (MORE TRICKY)
This could just be a feature on the back of the box. so if they dont make a offline box like they have a 'online multi player' capable box on the back of the disc it is okay to still drm you to there hearts are content!!!

Sideras3963d ago

@HammadTheBeast, personally Titanfall didn't impress. But even so, no matter what was shown at E3 this year in terms of exclusive games Sony has proved that they've got a stronger and more varied line-up of games overall. We know what's coming back and we know they dare to take risks.

The price of the PS4 is still a huge factor in this "console war." Analysts have called it the "sweet spot" and it's for good reason. Being just $50 more expensive than the Wii U and $100 less than the XBO puts them in a perfect spot, with or without the ludicrous policies Microsoft tried to pull. I've also noticed people bashing the superior hardware defense and I'm not one to talk about superiority, but they mentioned how the "PS3 was more powerful and look how that turned up."

Well, the thing is: the PS3 launched a year later than the much less expensive Xbox 360 and, while its hardware might have been superior, no one really knew how to utilize it for a at least two years. Even with that and on top of atrocious PR, they managed to outsell the 360.

NameRemoved00173963d ago

The only thing thats an opinion on which is better is the features and the games, besides that the PS4 is better is a fact for almost everything else.

BKsecret3963d ago (Edited 3963d ago )

Well yes, the PS3 is more powerful because of its CELL architecture. Whereas Xbox 360 was based on PowerPC. CELL was different.

Both the PS4 and XBOX ONE uses x86 architecture, so they both will not have any drastic differences in nature.

Therefore, it's easy to say PS4 is superior than the XBOX ONE. (Better GPU + Graphics RAM)

There's nothing XBOX fans can really put anything against this.

hellvaguy3963d ago (Edited 3963d ago )

Both systems have their pros cons for sure. One thing few mention, Xbone controllers are using Wifi direct which is much superior tech.

Doesn't make up for the $100 difference but it is a nice advantage.

MariaHelFutura3963d ago (Edited 3963d ago )

The PS2 outsold the Xbox, the PS3 outsold the Xbox 360 and I'm pretty confident the PS4 will outsell the Xbox One. If you want know why some Microsoft fans hate some Sony fans so much, look no further. Same goes for Microsoft hating Sony so much. They try so hard and NEVER succeed.

Taint23963d ago (Edited 3963d ago )

I agree with your sweet spot, but your current gen info has a bit of an inaccurate representation: The Xbox 360 has actually been leading the PS3 for the past six years, and only just now will the PS3 overtake it. Both are at the ~77M mark. FWIW, the 360 has actually outsold the PS3 for 29 months straight in the US. I am no fanboy, not for either side. I just like facts to be clear. Edit: forgot my link http://bit.ly/1avQg32

Further, it isn't really enough of the whole picture to say "no one knew how to utilize [the CELL] for two years." All houses shipping to both consoles work on the PS3 version first and then swap to 360 near the end for port work because Microsoft's tools are better. Sony is typically harder to work with, and their API documentation and tools support are very visibly poorer historically.

If you've spent any time in a major house, or even as an indie, you'll see it immediately. Try sending an executable to the PS3. Hell, try just downloading and setting up the SDK. Try network configuration for a testkit or devkit PS3, now try broadcasting those changes across your farm.

Traditionally, throughout each generation, Sony has made it nigh impossible to work on their system. That's one of the most amazing reasons why their attitude changing here is so good for all devs in general. With stronger hardware and a renewed focus on simplifying dev on the box, the PS4 is poised to succeed even without Microsoft fumbling straight out of the gate.

I will be buying both systems, like I did last gen and the one before.

The majority won't upgrade for multiplats (BF4, CoD) but if they do, PS4 is $100 cheaper, no camera required, comes with a headset, and it has a better reputation at this point. PS4 will also have several f2p games at launch like DCUniverse, Warframe, and Planetside 2.

Speaking of that, the wild card here is shooters. Both XBox One and PS4 has CoD and BF4, but the PS4 is the only one with exclusive shooters. It has KZ, Warframe, and Planetside. Xbox One has no exclusive shooters until Titanfall, and even then, Titanfall is available on 360. It will be nearly a year (when Halo eventually launches sometime next year) before the Xbox One gets its first exclusive shooter. And it'll be coming out around the same time as Destiny.

I think PS4 is the better value by far. Xbox One actually REMOVED some value by taking away family sharing and stuff like that.

Docknoss3963d ago

Titanfall won't be out for another year, and yes it is coming to 360 but it's an entirely different game damn near. Made by different developers, went use cloud or have the massive multiplayer the one version has. Me and all my friends pre ordered the one for BF4. I've been playing BF3 since it came out, why trade in a great game?

Sideras3963d ago

Again with the cloud nonsense...

ZoyosJD3963d ago

That family share thing was an absolute joke in the first place.

"First is family sharing, this feature is near and dear to me and I truly felt it would have helped the industry grow and make both gamers and developers happy. The premise is simple and elegant, when you buy your games for Xbox One, you can set any of them to be part of your shared library. Anyone who you deem to be family had access to these games regardless of where they are in the world. There was never any catch to that, they didn’t have to share the same billing address or physical address it could be anyone. When your family member accesses any of your games, they’re placed into a special demo mode. This demo mode in most cases would be the full game with a 15-45 minute timer and in some cases an hour. This allowed the person to play the game, get familiar with it then make a purchase if they wanted to. When the time limit was up they would automatically be prompted to the Marketplace so that they may order it if liked the game. We were toying around with a limit on the number of times members could access the shared game (as to discourage gamers from simply beating the game by doing multiple playthroughs). but we had not settled on an appropriate way of handling it. One thing we knew is that we wanted the experience to be seamless for both the person sharing and the family member benefiting. There weren’t many models of this system already in the wild other than Sony’s horrendous game sharing implementation, but it was clear their approach (if one could call it that) was not the way to go. Developers complained about the lost sales and gamers complained about overbearing DRM that punished those who didn’t share that implemented by publishers to quell gamers from taking advantage of a poorly thought out system. We wanted our family sharing plan to be something that was talked about and genuinely enjoyed by the masses as a way of inciting gamers to try new games."

Titian fall is only timed exsclusive

nick3093963d ago

Sunset overdrive is a shooter and open world, ps4& xbox1 have good exclusives , saying it dosent dosent actually mean it dosent.

superterabyte3963d ago (Edited 3963d ago )

*doesn't

Oh and IMO it doesn't. Titanfall is not an exclusive so tick that one off. Sad to lose Insomniac but IMO their exclusives were deteriorating if you consider the hits that ratchet and clank, Spyro and even the original resistance were so i'm not totally convinced that this game is a surefire hit. What else was there oh yeah Ryse I would not suggest that was a game you can back on being good considering that it used to be a kinect game and looked to heavily implement QuickTime events. Forza 5 man that game is becoming dangerously close to a yearly release although I will admit that does seem like it will be decent. Is that it or am I missing something?

I think i'll stick to killzone, infamous and Driveclub (which i'll get for free as i'm already a playstation plus member) thanks oh and the order 1886 looks like it'll be insane considering the developers track record.

"Also" Offers Amazing Value For Your Money...really? i mean really?
From the looks of it, PS4 is the only nextgen console that Offers "Amazing" Value For Your Money...

The ps4 is by far the better console in terms of price and specs. Not gonna mention the games, just look at the PS3 huge exclusive library. PS4 will have the same.

superterabyte3963d ago

I'm still not sure what to make of destiny. The premise sounds unbelievable to the extent that I have to question whether they can pull it off. Also what happened to your bubbles those went quick :/

Haules3962d ago (Edited 3962d ago )

Yea i notice that too i had 5 bubbles now i have only 2 lol :/ lots of trolls on this site....

I think Destiny will be a great game, a combination between campaign and multi-player, i like how huge the world/maps are.

Such a good game to me. Crazy how different peoples opinions can get.

Crows903h ago(Edited 3h ago)

For me it wasn't that surprising. There was some bad press before. There's also the matter and element of a person's disposition when trying out a certain game. Sometimes you're just not really into the type of game that you're playing so you put it down because you don't like it. Not necessarily because it's a bad game but because you're just not up for something like this. Reviewers have a tough because no matter what they feel like playing they've got to play what's releasing.

I have many times gone back to games that I put down only to thoroughly enjoy them the second time around because either there wasn't another exciting game coming out around the same time or I just had no other games to play and haven't played that type of game in a while. I'm not the type of person that can just play a souls game through all this iterations one after the other without getting burnt out on the formula.

In my opinion this game was great from the start. Some bugs here and there but nothing worse than the most AAA releases during the same time after and before. All I did was wait one week and I had a phenomenal time with the game. No other zombie survival game comes close to how I thoroughly enjoyed this one

-Foxtrot2h ago(Edited 2h ago)

Yeah I thought it was pretty decent, it had its flaws but for their first big console single player open world game it's a solid 8/10.

I have never seen an AAA "zombie" game feature as many enemies as the horde sections did, you really had to think about your surroundings and plan carefully.

I feel journalists had an issue with this game from the moment it was announced, they really didn't like the Biker characters and the overall Biker gang theme. If they were anything else I feel it would have had a better chance or at least they'd overlook some of the flaws like they do for certain other open world games. They don't mind waiting weeks or months for a patch knowing its coming but a game that has it Day 1 it's suddenly a big no no? Yeah this was one of those moments that showed you how they cherry pick who to suddenly decide to go harsh on when they want to.

mkis0072h ago

Ill never forget the reviewer who tried to claim the "ride me like you ride your bike" line was anything but a joke...they (sarah and deacon) explicitly call it a joke and the reviewer still misinformed the reader about it as if it was a literal thing.

Michiel19891h ago

the score on metacritic is 71 from journos, its 9 points lower than your review so stop making stuff up. They didn't hate it from the start, they on average just liked it slightly less than you.

-Foxtrot1h ago(Edited 1h ago)

@Michiel1989

I'm not making anything up, they held a grudge against it and made stuff up themselves like mkis007 has just pointed out. That 71 on Metacritic is why it didn't get a sequel.

Anyway how can I make anything up when I didn't even mention metacritic in my original post?

Leeroyw3h ago

Second act of that game far surpassed the first. Which is why people felt it didn't live up to the hype of the trailers. Personally I loved it. But it was a slog to get your bike and weapons up to skill.

Inverno3h ago

Was gonna post a brick wall of text but I'll keep it short. Pardon my French but f**k the media for the hate they gave this game. If you have a PC to play it on you can get it as low as 10 bucks, and if you have a PS then it's a no brainer. Totally worth a play.

phatak3h ago(Edited 2h ago)

I don't even comment here often but had to for this game, I still stand by my opinion that this was one of the top 10 games of the ps4 generation, I preferred days gone over god of war, horizon and last of us 2, the launch version was definitely piss poor and that messed up the reviews for this game, honestly some games deserve a re-review or post patch review as the metacritic score stays forever but the reality is its not even the same game anymore, the ps5 patch is amazing and the pc version which I play on nowadays is one of the best looking games ever, complete shame that we wont get a sequel, god of war got one, horizon got one, last of us got one, spider man got one, ghosts of tshushima about to get one but this game wont get one, sucks to be honest.

Ps3/360 era had some hidden underated games for me it was shadows of the damned, alice madness returns that deserved more sales and a sequel/ higher scores, and similarly for the ps4 era it was days gone, and dying light 1 that deserved much more love, dying light atleast got a sequel, everyone needs to play this game once and judge for themselves, for me its officially the most underrated game of the ps4 era, go play it if you haven't.

andy852h ago

Awesome game. Just bought it for my laptop last week
