So its just about controllers for shitty mobile games, im glad, dont need Apple poisoning the market with freemium games. Cause then you get the same quality games as in the Atari era.

CommonSenseGamer4069d ago

So, which "shitty" games have you played exactly as whether you like it or not there are some real gems on both platforms.

At least these "shitty" games aren't over priced like when they hit PSN and Xbox Marketplace.

Finally, have you seen how fast tablet and smartphone games have advanced over the last couple of years? Honestly, the only thing holding back some of the games is a lack of physical controller, well guess what, that's about to change which is great for ALL gamers!

I'm proud to say I often 90% time use and respond on N4G on my iPad still first gen but yeh I have few gems each to there own.
I am a gamer of all sorts weather PC with steam wallett worth 1800 or my tablets used every day from browsing to playing Clash clans or RTS games Infinityblade 2 or metalstorm and Texas poker hold'em

The pay is a option your not limited if you wish to grind like I do. No differnt that unlock packs boaster packs from EA and others on consoles. Witch I also like to play

Smart phones are becoming more powerful every year, and so I think Sony should re-think their portable games strategy, come out with a controller for Android phones and build games like Killzone: Mercenaries, and expand on their Playstation Mobile service.

I was really impressed with Samsung's controller, and the Galaxy S3/S4 are really beautiful phones. I would love to play console quality games on either a Galaxy S4 or a Sony Xperia Z/ZL.

how are they worse than MS? lol they make almost no new AAA games for the 4 last years.

I think alan wake is the last one. Also women are the new core xbox gamers. This is great news for women imo.

this is good for the industry. xbox for women and ps4 will be the balls machine.

ElitaStorm4069d ago (Edited 4069d ago )

almost all the games for both apple and google android is pay to win the game, i played candy crush(NOHOMO)on my xperia z and when all my 5 hearts went out i had to wait 15min or buy the hearts... not cool

its the same with all the other games

my point is that its not games we play its something else +_+

i would rather play real games on my ps3

CommonSenseGamer4069d ago

Look harder cause its not the case with all games as you suggest. Take a look at Bards Tale, Modern Combat 4, Wordfued, Sonic, etc.

matgrowcott4069d ago

How is that pay to win?!

You've downloaded a free game and they've put limitations on what you can do. Developers have been doing that for 20 years, with shareware and the like. The difference being that the developer is letting you continue playing on THEIR terms.

I think that's fair enough, because if you don't like it, you can quit. There's a lot of "free" games that follow this model on the app store, and there are a lot of better, meatier games that ask you pay up front. If you don't want to pay anything, what do you expect? How would that experience go with "real games" on your PS3?

Pay to win would mean you're playing a multiplayer game and the only good weapons are locked behind a $2 price tag.

I had the LaserActive... it was a nice collectors piece but not very practical. Especially when it came to needing recapping. I think i paid all of about $50 for the floor model from an incredible Universe back in the day. I ended up selling it many years later for $300 at the time due to it needing a new laser and the aforementioned recapping.

An honorable mention not on the list would be the VM Labs Nuon. It basically looked like any regular DVD player but it had ports on it for controllers to play specific games. one of which is still exclusive to it with Tempest 3000. It also offered nuon enhanced DVD movies with extra content not accessible by regular players.

Why Epic's Win Against Apple And Google Paves The Way For The Future Of Mobile Gaming

Epic Games winning its cases against both Apple and Google is shaping the way forward for the future of mobile gaming.

shinoff218368d ago

I feel alot of mobile gamers are kids which will at some point probably turn to console or pc. Mobile gaming just doesn't cut it for me.

AlterRecs67d ago

tru dat, but i feel like it's gonna be a lot more viable for people who travel a lot or don't want to invest in a full gaming rig. Think of it as a Switch on drugs, with a LOT more room for free illegal downloads.
