This week on Sessler's ...Something, Adam discusses the tricky subject of difficulty in games, and how "fun and challenging" can turn into "I want to destroy my controller." Also, Adam answers YOUR question about the fate of Nintendo's Wii U. Start your flame engines.

Its dangerous to go alone. Here, try this:

Anyway, as an older gamer, I am a bit tired of all these twitch and reflex based games that are in realtime.

A return to turn-based mechanics, so at the very least you could appreciate the graphics everyone is so overly focused on, would be nice.

I disagreed cus you ain't old! F AGE!

Sorry, you just have to think farther ahead then most.

I don't play many games and the few I do play I play them on hard to make them last a little longer. I only care about online when it comes to fighting games and nothing more so those often last me the longest. I mean, I've been playing MvC3/UMvC3 for years now and still play it online in between games.

But if I were a reviewer playing multiple games a week I would play them all on easy or normal to beat them fast to write the review. But based on age I really don't know what to say... Adult gamers often have lots of games since they have the money to buy tons of them and playing them all on high difficulty while having a huge backlog, that must feel like work and not fun at all.

Yeah,
But the reason why Nintendo has so few Shareholders is because of MICROSOFT trying to do their Hostile Take-over.
(In the days, right before X-box, when Microsoft was trying to buy Nintendo.)

They re-bought the bulk of their stock and only re-sold it to people who could not be swayed.

Anyway...

He shouldn't be so hard on himself. Some games kick your butt for a number of reasons. I know when it has happened to me- if I put the game down and then come back to it later- sometimes I do waaaaaay better.

I think this is because:
-You stop psyching yourself out.
-You discover something new as you think about it during cool-off.
-The Force is with you on the 2nd Game play set.

If you only have a weekend however, I can see how this could become an impossibility.

Is it me or does Adam move and seem ultra hyper like a crack addict. Has ever been addicted to drugs or anything or been in rehab?

Conzul4069d ago

This is one of his more docile videos. Funny you bringing that up, eh?

Scrupuless4068d ago

Can't tell you how many times I've thought this exact same thing, glad I am not the only one.

Gears of War: Judgement, a Ten Year Reunion

WTMG's Aaron Price: "Revisiting Judgement is always a treat, especially now, ten years after its release. It received a lot of hate for its changes upon release, but it has aged like an average quality wine. It’s not perfect, but it’s more than worth a playthrough, which leads me to the last thought on the game, as little as I’m looking forward to it… it’s time to try for all the challenge stars in the campaign on Insane difficulty. Pray for me."

5 of the best Gears of War maps

Brandon writes: "Perhaps one thing that makes multiplayer stand tall in Gears of War is its maps. Uniquely symmetrical in layout, and usually fair in weapon placements as such, maps have often been a vehicle for Gears of War's multiplayer, be it Execution, King of the Hill, Team Deathmatch, or even Horde mode. While very tough to round up the best of the best, below are what could easily be the definitive multiplayer maps for the Gears of War series."

Mansion is one of my favorites. From the start of each spawn session most of your teammates run to the right, but If you were fast enough you could run through the Mansion and come up behind the other team essentially flanking them early on in the match. I did it many times back in the day. Some would catch on though lol. I really wish the mansion map had been included in Gears 4.

Jacinto was terrible and Streets wasn't particularly good either. Where is Fuel Depot/Canals/Escalation/Checko ut?
