VB - I fell in love with Xenoblade in 2012. I’ll never forget its endless landscapes with towering mountains and vast oceans. Xenoblade just gave me so much beauty that I had to honor it as my game of the year.
I’ve played my share of Japanese role-playing games. Many of them had their own set of problems, such as bad voice-acting and goofy motion-capture animations. Xenoblade makes up for all those painful moments with tons of amusing side quests to complete for other villagers. I wanted to play through every single one of them just to build social bonds with these characters.
Original story, interesting and likeable characters, great plot twists, beautiful and unique environments, hours of side quests and exploration, other devs should take note because this is how you craft a true epic.
yes get this game if you loved playstation 1 jrpgs
then monolith soft is for you aka xenoblade
this team is made from alot of memebers from squaresoft =)
The combat in Xenoblade is similar to FF-XI with the mix of realtime combat and special attacks, The party is made up of 3 characters that can be swaped in and out before battle like in most past FF games, you can't switch your playable characters during battle however that never really was an issue for me since Shulk kicks all the butts most the time anyway.
There's a ton of sidequests, notorious monsters, hidden items and equipment, a huge unique world to explore with some great areas, Satorl Marsh at night looks beautiful even with the Wii's graphics limits.
I would definitely recommend Xenoblade if you're a JRPG fan, it's one that really shouldn't be missed
Hopefully Nintendo and monolith soft doesn't see this as a blunder and continue trying to put out amazing RPGs like this.
