New Super Mario Bros U will have DLC

The retail packaging of New Super Mario Bros U has confirmed something Nintendo hasn't revealed yet, that the game will receive DLC after release. Whether this is level packs or something else we don't know yet.

Nintendo already commented that you can edit coin placements and submit user-created challenge rules, so maybe it's just talking about this and not paid DLC?

Well since the 3DS title NSMB2 has received DLC, it only makes sense for WiiU NSMBU to get some right?

i don't think so... the challenge mode comes with it; and since NSMB2 does have 'em, NSMBU should have 'em too.

nevertheless this is exciting news!

And all, but I'd of prefered some sort of Online co op/battlemode play.

Couldn't they release a patch that provides online multiplayer? I'm not too tech savy.

In theory, yes, it's possible to add that mode via a (probably quite large) patch.

But I wouldn't hold my breath for it, though.
