GameInformer: " difference in load times between the review build we had and the final boxed version"

Mistwalker's latest Xbox 360 RPG, Lost Odyssey, is shipping today, and GameInformer's review is almost ready for release. GameInformer caught word that there is a difference in load times between the review build GameInformer had and the final boxed version, however, so GameInformer is waiting to double-check if this is indeed the case before GameInformer posts. GameInformer's readers deserve the most accurate coverage possible, and if there is a noticeable load reduction in the retail SKU, GameInformer wants to make sure they know. GameInformer is hoping to have their review posted tomorrow-stay tuned.

I kind of doubt it, but who knows. Would have been incredibly stupid for Mistwalker to send such a poor representation of their product to reviewers. I remember a few other games did this, though I can't remember them off the top of my head.

Off the top of my head I believe Ninja Theory sent out a lower review build than the final release with a really poor framerate which was cleaned up in the final.

This is the kind of a situation where the option for a large install is needed.

I sure hope so because 10-20 seconds loading PER BATTLE is quite uncalled for.

I think its about time to let this game RIP... those who want it.. go get it.. Smile and take a cookie with you..

BUT for those of us who know it didnt make the cut.. lets move on please nothin 2 see here..

2008 does not stop with Lost Odyssey.. Another new IP that spirals to the floor..

This game isn't all that good. Waiting for a version with lesser load times?

Yeah sure.

regarding screen tearing and framerate issues (both of which were almost nonexistent in the retail build) so they better check if this is true. It would actually end up raising scores across the board if there's a significant improvement in load times.
