5 Comic Book Heroes Who Would Benefit from the Arkham City Treatment

WC writes: Batman and Spider-Man get all the games. Every once in a while, we get a combo with the X-Men, Justice League, or a movie-compatible video game without much effort; but the fact that all the energy is spent on two heroes is pretty upsetting, considering all the characters ripe for their own video games.

In fact, it could be argued that some characters are too perfect for video games. Their abilities, gadgets, or stories are almost too easily adaptable for the medium, and quite frankly, it’s about time some of them got the light of day (especially considering it could be some time before they get a chance at their own solo film). So, enough of this intro. Let’s get to it. (Batman: Arkham City, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Um... how about ALL OF THEM?

Boy I hate sites that make up lame, short lists with even less details then spread them over multiple pages just so they can say they have more traffic.

Yeah, this site is pretty blatant about underhanded crap that it does for hits. Check out their troll article on the front page that also makes you click through several times to read one story.

According to the comments that is, I didn't feed these clowns.

How about a Wolverine game done right? A serious game with a dark feel to it. Really showcase Wolverine's power and abilities.

Old Man Logan would make an awesome, awesome game.

Almost had it. Origins was going to be it's own game, but the company lost the IP and it was made into a Movie-IP. It's not a teen/kid game like the movie, it's violent. I would love it if they could just make Wolverine the way they wanted. He is a violent murdering bastard and we love him.

I really don't get it. This top _ nonsense is the most brutally abused tactic in the game blogger's arsenal, with trolling brands as a close second. Just write about what you want to write about. You don't need to put everything in a list, or troll us with headlines. Build something that people want to come back to, not just something that you might be able to bait people into visiting now and then, and whose numbers you inflate with the way your site is built.

I remember a looong time ago at an E3 a company showed off a Lobo video game and it was terrible!

But in the hands of a great developer I'm sure a Lobo game would be great. Going against the most dangerous and insane criminals in the galaxy, big a** guns, great dialog and violence that can be compared to or exceed God of War.

But it has to be the Simon Bisley's Lobo not this New 52 Lobo DC introduced

I want to see plenty of new superhero games. There are so many great heroes from comics. They all deserve a shot to prove themselves. They just need game developers who understand and respect the characters like Rocksteady with Batman.

The Flash: Could be interesting. We just need the right kind of game mechanics to compliment his powers. At that, we need the right villains from his rogues gallery to show up.

Wonder Woman: You would literally have to be a powerhouse in her game. It would be interesting to see how battles would go with some of the mystic and pantheon characters.

The Five Original X-Men: That is interesting. Never thought of it before, but this could work very well. A lot of referencing would need to be done, though.

Black Panther: Yes! Black Panther would totally be an awesome pick. Being able to go to the hidden metropolis, Wakanda, would be amazing. Black Panther is also a great combatant and possesses great intelligence.

Daredevil: Freaking A right! Daredevil would be perfect! And the mentioning of Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Moon Knight could bring great missions and team-ups.

The Flash
Wonder Woman
The Original 5 X-Men(Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman, Beast, Angel)
Black Panther
Dare Devil

i would love to see Black Panther in a game or a movie....very skilled in everything

The Flash too is underrated..i would love to see Nightwing have his own game.

Hellboy, Constantine, Psylock, Nightcrawler, Hawkeye and The Tick. Some of those choices may seem weird, but I would just LOVE to see any of those in a videogame done by a developer as talented as rocksteady.

That Flash game looked great, I wonder why it was canned?

At first I thought, a Flash video game? He's too fast, how could anything hit you and give out damage. But some parts of the game it looked like you were racing against a timer. Very nice.

I wish they would go back, polish it up some more and present it to DC/Warner Bros. again.

Lobo needs a game.

It's a good thing they're doing a Deadpool game, I mean what more can you ask for? The Deadpool game defeats my interest in everyone in that list.

Although a game starring Wolverine with the 90's comic artstyle graphics would be nice. It would have to be gritty and the character movements would have to be fluid like "Batman Arkham Asylum." Not quick and jaggy like Spiderman Shattered Dimensions.
