"Publisher Majesco Entertainment‘s Double Dragon Neon is finally available for PlayStation Network. The new title takes us older gamers on a walk down memory lane as we relive this classic title 25 years after it was first released in arcades. Double Dragon Neon makes many advances over the classic series however. The game’s colorful graphics, 3D art style and advanced combat with combos help create a game that looks very retro but still feels like a new game. Fans of side scroll beat ‘em up titles should check out this game immediately."
With River City Girls 2 arriving next week, it's time to look at the company's best!
"Digital games are more convenient than physical games, and usually cheaper too. Still, there's something about collecting physical games that appeals to many gamers. Preordering limited physical editions directly from boutique labels is always an option, but sometimes retailers offer the same editions for a better price. That's certainly the case with Best Buy, which currently has 14 Nintendo Switch titles from Limited Run up for preorder, including TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, Double Dragon Neon, and several more co-op hits," says Co-Optimus.
Limited Run Games is preparing physical editions for both Double Dragon Neon and Double Dragon IV for the Switch that include standard and Classic Limited Editions. Pre-orders go live on May 28th, 2021.
The original Double Dragon from the Arcades about 30 odd years ago was amazing at the time, i played Double Dragon Neon not long ago and it had totally lost all of its appeal, its either Double Dragon isnt that good anymore or Neon is a crap representative of the original..
Its not bad but I felt the pace was a lot slower than the original.
