Kojima posted a photo on Twitter that caused some internet debate. Underneath the already known artwork of Snake from Ground Zeroes, is another sheet of paper of which only the corner can be seen.

How is disagreeing with someone's opinion about his favorite game series weird? All that means is that it's not that person's favorite game series that hit the disagree button.
I agree with Jon1234. This website is pathetic in that on every single article there are several people whining about how someone got disagrees. Who cares? Grow up and stop worrying about what the internet thinks of your terrible responses.
@DA_SHREDDER: Really? Hmmm, well the games explore two pretty different areas. The thing about ZOE is that most people have only played the two games when there's a film and an anime and a gba game. So yeah, ZOE is a lot denser than I think a lot of people realize, but still, overall I think it's much more accessible than mgs and conceptually a lot simpler if you ask me. I mean it borrows a lot more than mgs does.
Why would "Xbots" disagree? Xbox owners are stoked about MGS on Xbox. It's PS3 owners that hate the fact that MG is multiplatform, even though it was never Sony's to begin with.

Agreed Omar. I love the MGS series! I bet you that they will have multiple protagonists throughout the game. I would love it if the game told a story going through time. Let me play as Snake, and Big Boss, make it a surprise, inside the story. Playable flashbacks that retells the past ala Batman Begins.
I agree about the playing as different protagonists part. Do you remember that picture of that person sneaking in that desert environment? He or she had dirty blonde hair in a ponytail. That could be Liquid snake or maybe Eva or someone who knows
i think i saw a conceptual photo of what may have been a young volgin quite a while ago when the fox engine was announced. it'd be cool to see him in a ww2 setting, or something around that time frame.
Hmm i remember when hideo kojima wasnt obsessed with crap anime and actually made good games. Shit snake walking through the microwave oven ruined mgs4 for me. Did any one ever play this ?
Exactly what I was thinking, I can see this game hopping between different time periods. The title sort of suggests that.
I'm guessing it'll probably feature events involving Zero in the span of time between MGS3 and 4, which is reinforced by the image of what seems to be Big Boss and as I mentioned, the actual title of the game. The phantoms thing then seems like it has to refer to Solid and Liquid. So you've got two pretty distinct time periods in mgs history right there. But we'll see.
I've been trying to figure this tweet out for the past hour and I think I've got it figured out. 'XOF' spelt backwards is 'FOX'! Am I a genius or what?
Looking at it full-size, it's clearly a character with white hair (Old Snake or Ocelot?) and the movie-style words at the bottom mention things like programmers and lighting artists. Another game maybe? Or just another poster for Ground Zeroes?
Im betting on Liquid Snake. I have a feeling this game will span different time periods. It may have to do with the creation of Solid Snake and Liquid Snake. Remember the from Fox two phantoms were born line? Liquid and Solid were created around the same time as Fox was created. But who knows right. All I know is that this is gonna be the best Mgs in the entire series
Definitely looks like Old Snake to me. you can see a sort of nylon strap thing going over his shoulder and a vague glimpse of what could be a bandana just above the grey hair, which looks about the same length we're used to from Snake.
It also seems possible that the caption says something like "Snake is...???" Dead perhaps haha? Maybe Alive?
The image is reversed because the guy in the picture is not Solid Snake - its Big Boss (he wears an eye patch) - and they reversed the image to make that clear - because the "normal" version of the image has the eye patch on the wrong eye.
Kojima is such a troll, that's what I like about him. He keeps us guessing. I don't think anyone has ever got an MGS prediction right.
My guess is that the reason why it's flipped, is to imply that the two phantoms quote is referring to Liquid and Solid Snake because it's on the flipped side showing the side without the eyepatch.

This is why I like Kojima. He often tease us gamers of a guessing game, whenever he's working on something. Making us do the detective work. I think American developers need to start doing what he did. This way the game we care about is 10 times more excited.
People who could be bothered hitting a disagree button on a website have small weeners, people who care that some small weenered loser on said website clicked a disagree button against them have only slightly larger weeners, but have the added complicity of being geeks, & for all the rest of you......you all have small weeners compared to mine anyhow.

Wait a sec... since theres a lot of speculation as to way the image id flipped for a reason i have a theory on that. Reports came from the party from journalists states that there was a guy about to board a plane. And he was handing out XOF patches. XOF and FOX can very well create that war between Zero and Big Boss. XOF can mean something else and not just FOX spelled backwards. No... there could be something much more going on here. XOF could be Zeros own new unit instead to combat Big Boss's newly created FOX unit which would then lead into FOXHOUND. I think Ground Zeros may in fact take place over a period of time after all when you think about the details adding up here. I like the sound of this so we wont have to continually wait for the next installment of a requital. Having one prequel here that can take place over a set time period would make things great into Big Boss's back story.
