Game Informer reviews No More Heroes 6/10

lol yeah i'm getting confused too...but i already ordered it friday since my Wii has been dormant since i beat Mario Galaxy, I'm sure it's a cool game that you either love or hate

This was a fun one for sure. If you only do the fighting to get money you'll get bored but there are 10 part-time jobs out there. Fun mix of everything from wiping away graffiti and clearing the beach from mines and mowing the law.

Boss fights are all their own characters and the story is pretty sweet with all twists and turns. Excellent purchase for Wii owners.

Not like it needs it or anything but it seems as if this game was suppose to be a game to drive people out to buy a Wii.

With the way they express their opinion in that little 4 paragraph "review", it makes me doubt that they even played the game all the way through. It seems they judged it more from some sort of "Moral" standpoint than anything else. NMH is an awesome game imo. Much better than the grade they gave it.

I think it was to be expected with this title. The average for this game is still over 80% though, I'm definitely getting it.

since its 6 out of 10 i would have to expect some sony fanboys to come give their two cents even though neither have the wii or no more heroes... being last must be tough for ps3 owners

I have a PS3 and a Wii, and I picked up this game last week when I got Burnout Paradise. It's a very difficult game to give a score to, kind of like Assassin's Creed.
I understand why GI gave it a 6 because from a purely technical point of view, that is being gracious. Shoddy framerate, horrible graphics(I do like the style but it is very bland and jaggies galore), decent music, and very repetitive gameplay keep it from seeing its potential.

From a gamer's standpoint, there is just something about it that just makes it cool. It has this weird "je ne sais quoi" appeal to it that just makes you like it. The over the top violence is freaking cool, and it just invokes a good feeling when you play it. Unfortunately, you do have to do a LOT of stupid side quests to earn money to get to the next fun assassination.

The open world is pointless as there is nothing to do but drive your extremely difficult to control bike to the next job. The motion controls are rarely used except for finishers, and the camera is god awful.

If you want a game strictly for having a unique personality that sets it apart, go for it. If graphics and gameplay are foremost to you, stay away. Personally, I wish he had the balls to put this on the 360 and PS3, but I think Suda51 is afraid to test his skills with better graphics because this barely even uses the Wii controls. You could have had the same game with two analog sticks.

By the way, what are you playing on your beloved Wii right now? Because I am playing Rock Band, Call of Duty 4, Uncharted, Burnout Paradise, Warhawk, and getting ready for some Grand Theft Auto IV. What, still playing Mario or does your Wii have as much as dust on it as mine?

Being last in sales does not make a console bad, and being first in sales does not mean you have better games. Get a life and stop insulting other game players because of their choice of system.

Im playing No More Heroes.. i dont play 6 or 7 games at once. Dont know how you can do that and finish any of them. But have fun listing your games.

I have beaten every single game I listed, barring Warhawk of course. The point I was trying to get out is that there are tons of AAA titles out on PS3 and coming soon, while the only decent games I have played on Wii were Zelda, Mario, and Zack & Wiki. No More Heroes is decent as best, and if it came out on another system it wouldn't even sell a copy. But because of the lack of games on the Wii, and mature one at that, is the only reason people are even looking at this game.
