E3 2012: Axe ballet your way through this Demonicon trailer

A new trailer for game called Demonicon has surfaced in E3. It’s a CG trailer which features some pretty cliched “epic battles” pulled straight out of Lord of the Rings, along with your typical village being attacked and plundered. Still, it looks like it could be a good RPG, and the twirling axe ballet move at around 1:12 is highly amusing. Check out the trailer below.

Having played the game I have to disagree with this review strongly, especially scoring it a 5/5 for graphics! Did you not see the facial animations? The combat animations? The lack of detail? The empty, lifeless environments?

"multiple endings." It has two.

The review says choices can effect the outcome of the game. Again, not really. There's two endings, and the majority of your choices just amount to a few different lines of dialogue.

Combat is clumsy and revolves almost entirely around button mashing.

In most cases I respect opinions, but in this instance I'm finding it hard to see how anyone could award the game a 4 out of 5 when it has so many glaring flaws and problems.

The Dark Eye: Demonicon Review | GameGrin

Demonicon is a frustrating beast. Some great and innovative RPG customisation and story arcs occur amongst very uninspired quests and combat dynamics. Very much giving with one hand and disappointing with another, Demonicon does well in presenting a competent RPG adventure but falls short on areas where it matters the most.
