Will the lost horde return to WoW to face the Iron Horde at the gates of Draenor?

MWEB GameZone writes: "Last night at Gamescom Blizzard opened the dark gates of the Warlords of Draenor, the fifth expansion of World of Warcraft will release on 13 November 2014. This November Blizzard also celebrates 10 years of World of Warcraft.

But will the lost horde return to World of Warcraft to face the Iron Horde at the gates of Draenor?

Yes, we do yearn for her embrace, and we will never be totally free of her. But we will love her from a distance."

And WOW just keeps going...

I can't wait for the expansion personally, been playing WoW for 10 years and will probably play WoW till the day Blizz shuts her down for good.

I am grateful for those who keep her alive :)

This is cool and all, but I don't really see this bringing new people onboard. I think WOW has reached it's saturation point and any new expansions will be exercises in rentention rather than new business.

I agree, the only thing Blizzard can do now is to hold onto the subscribers they have

Volkama3542d ago

They don't necessarily need "new" people. The pool of people that "used to play" is huge. They have been trying to appeal to that audience for some time with mixed success.

Personally I had a little look at the current state of the game and the Draenor changes very recently. All I see is a continued drive for class homogenisation, and a content release cycle that doesn't come close to justifying a subscription.

If they lost a couple millions in the last 3 months it is because people lost interest in the current content, I'm betting WoW will get atleast 2 millions old player to come back for a while to play the new content and don't forget that most of those still playing will spend 40$ on the expansion...

WoW is the Duracell of the MMORPG world :) and i don't see Blizz shutting it down soon, unless their Titan IP releases soon and they want all the WoW players over there.

Plunderstorm Is The World Of Warcraft Battle Royale We’ve Been Waiting For

HG writes: "Blizzard is usually pretty bad at keeping secrets, but the company somehow managed to keep this one under wraps until now. Plunderstorm is a special limited-time event that’s basically World of Warcraft’s take on the Battle Royale genre."
