I respect him for that, actually.

It's just sad that this is even happening. We keep hearing about developers abused by gamers and I just don't understand. It's one thing to offer critique or opinion of a title, but the death threats and cyber-bullying we've seen directed towards developers the past few years is sickening. These people create entertainment. If you don't like it, don't play it but at no time is it acceptable to bully those who make our games.

The toxic disinhibition that's prevalent in gaming today is disgusting. There needs to be repercussions for those who think they can freely abuse and harass others online, be it other gamers or developers.

You are next to be bullied.....GAY-mer.....

P.S. its Sarcasm so don't start crying y'all.....

"I am sorry ‘Flappy Bird’ users, 22 hours from now, I will take ‘Flappy Bird’ down. I cannot take this anymore."

Oh yeah...having a source of income is terrible...

We all deserve the freedom to earn our livelihood without being subjected to bullying, harassment and abuse in any form. There's simply no excuse for this behaviour from gamers.

Could you imagine going into to your job and having contend with blatant abuse and bullying every single day?

ChickeyCantor3729d ago (Edited 3729d ago )

And how exactly he is he bullied, harassed or abused? He could simply ignore the negativity.

A lot of developers are getting sh/t from gamers. They don't suddenly go cry about it.

You sound like a terrible infomercial.

MEsoJD3729d ago

He could make new accounts, etc... Internet bullying is easy to ignore. As hard as it is to make a living... This guy removing easy money is completely idiotic.

CrossingEden3729d ago

No but being harassed and bullied IS terrible.

ChickeyCantor3729d ago

He is being as much harassed and bullied as he wants to.

You're on the internet and have as much power as the one "bullying" you.

Simply move to a new account or ignore their posts.

In fact if I were making 50k a day I wouldn't even bother sit behind the comp. I'd be doing stuff in the real world.

RiPPn3729d ago

Possibly a publicity stunt? Taking it down will only make it more popular.. If not what a weird thing to do, it's like he hit the lottery and is telling powerball to keep it.

KonsoruMasuta3729d ago

That's what I was thinking. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Fixay3729d ago

I read somewhere about a dev who made this exact game near enough in 2011 and is currently on the app store. He's been tweeting lately comparing his game to flappy bird and showing he's kinda annoyed.

May have some reason to this perhaps...

Meet the victims of digital distribution – games you can't buy anymore

When a game released exclusively digitally disappears from distribution, it becomes impossible to play it legally. Actually, quite a few gems have disappeared in this manner, with the legendary P.T. being just the beginning of the story.

I heard FlappyBird will be only available for the iOS user on the iPhoneX

Fullmetalevolust2407d ago

well, that's just criminal, hehe.

Zjet2407d ago

Its a 32bit app. iOS 11 is only compatible with 64bit apps.

App developers have been informed for the last 2 years that they need to update their apps to avoid this problem.

Customeers have been made aware with every new firmware update but no one reads patch notes.
