8 video game characters that are totally based on celebrities

It's not uncommon for film writers to create a character with a specific actor in mind--and, often, they're able to get that person to be in the film. Game writers often do the same thing, forming characters around different athletes, actors, or celebrities. Sometimes they get the actor to lend their likeness, but other times they just... make it different enough so that they can't get sued and move on.

Its rather true .. the early model was a younger Ellen Page . They probably noticed it themselves and decided to change it .

Everyone in the room at the reveal even thought they had a deal with the actress . In the end nope , that would be Beyond 2 souls later on

and when did i say it was meant to be her ? It looks like her , possibly not even on purpose , but they hadno deal with her and maybe never wante done in the first place , so they changed the model as soon as comparisons appeared to fit their visions .

It doesn't even have to be insulting like in this case. (So what that ellie is based on ellen)? That doesn't reduce the game quality or experience in any way.

And regarding article itself: Remarkable similarities in a lot of those comparisons. I dont agree with all of them, but a lot of them seem right on the spot. Like andrew ryan or the contra game.

Most are actually true. I remember the 1st model of ellie looked more like ellen paige before they remodelled her. I agree with most in that list

but if you've ever actually seen Ellies voice actor, it would make sense why a game character based on her would end up looking like ellen page. that doesn't mean it's based off Ellen

But Ellie wasn't based off Ellen Paige. She happened to look like her- too much like her- so they changed her appearance.
