The latest edition of MCV magazine has revealed that the Nintendo 3DS was the best-selling games device in the United Kingdom during 2013.

Lol you got that right, the 3DS is basically a money printer for Nintendo and the Wii U is a paper shredder.

When the 3DS was released people all over the Internet said it is a failure just as they do now with wii u. 3DS was a launch disaster and now Nintendo turned it into one of the best selling gaming devices. Why don't they have some faith in wiiu...?

Different market. Nintendo absolubtely destroy in the handheld market, it was surprising that the 3DS didn't sell that well in the first year.

Games consoles however, the Wii was a lucky break, The cube sold poorly and the the N64 before it.
This is most likely why people think the Wii U will follow in the footsteps of its predecessors. The fad of the Wii is gone now, those casuals have moved on to their ipads and what have you. So now the audience for another Wii is very small, just other loyal Nintendo fans.

edit- And don't get me wrong, I LOVED the N64 and Cube, the Wii however, not so much. Once they make a new WaveRace with no gimmicks, I'm all over the Wii U.

I have both the Vita and the 3DS and I cant deny the Vita is a far more advanced portable console.....but!!! I play my 3DS alot more because of its games and I KNOW everyone that has both could agree with me.
EDIT:But the Vita has been doing better lately and 2014 looks like the year the Vita can truly shine.

VITA comfortable... Umm have you held that atrociously designed device? And your bashing the 3DS thumb sticks when the VITAs are awful, they're tiny.

How are you guys holding your VITA? Lol. The Vita is more comfartable than the 3DS. As comfortable as the 3DS XL and the 2DS is the most comfortable.You have to rest the VITA on your middle fingers. Its the best way to hold it.

I have both and the vita is almost impossible to hold comfortably without the grip (PDP or others), it's a well known issue with the vita. The older 3DS model had that issue but to a lesser degree, 3DS XL is comfortable to hold, and 2DS is the most comfortable handheld ever to hold.

agreed. I have both. I had my 3DS for 2 years and rarely feels uncomfortable. But had a Vita and it already making my hand hurt.

It did though. It has quite a few good-amazing games. But Sony has no idea how to advertise them people STILL in 2014 call my PS VITA "the new psp' and many don't know the games for it because nobody told them. On the other hand EVERYBODY knows about Pokemon X and Y because nintendo actually told people it exsist. Tearaway has NO ads in the US and
very little in the UK. I haven't seen a VITA ad in the states since November 2012.
