RE4 best one, i really like more the boring RE5 & RE6

aCasualGamer3787d ago

Storywise and the way the story was told, Resident Evil 1 is the best Resident Evil game of all time. Without a doubt the best horror game.

I had chills down my spine during the whole playthrough. Even the most subtle thing, the sound of the footsteps scared the living crap out of me. And entering a new room and hearing the rotting flesh of their mouths moan like never-tiring beasts while you couldn't see them yet you knew they were getting closer, goddamnit that was scary moments.

For me, that will always be my favorite horror game. Probably one of my favorite games of all time.

RE Code: Veronica
RE1
RE Zero
RE3
RE2

this is for me.. i didnt like RE4 at all.

mikeslemonade3787d ago (Edited 3787d ago )

Didn't like 4 either but just going by the critical eye:

1. 4
2. 2
3. 1
4. Veronica
5. 5
6. 3

And the other games aren't worth playing unless your a fan of the series. Matter of fact you can skip 5 and 3 too.

MrSwankSinatra3787d ago (Edited 3787d ago )

no it isn't, Resident evil 4 was a revolutionary third person action game for the industry but it was a terrible resident evil game. it literally had nothing to do with resident evil. the only connection RE4 has to resident evil is the name of the characters.

_FantasmA_3787d ago

I don't understand people. I remember when 4 came out, everyone was talking about it. Best game ever! Best Resident Evil game! Then 5 comes along and its too action-y for some, so they start blaming RE4 for it. Now all of sudden RE4 sucks just because people didn't like 5. I never heard a bad thing about RE4 until RE5 came out.

cyphertech3787d ago

RE1 remake on gamecube was the best. I always envied my friend who owned a gamecube for that game alone.

Bob Dole3787d ago

Ha! That and #4 are the only reason Bob Dole bought a gamecube.

Venoxn4g3787d ago

Resident evil 0 on gamecube is amazing aswell, and RE: code veronica on Gamecube\ps2\dc

Dante813787d ago

It's incredible. RE2 is the only other that comes close.

DCfan3787d ago

RE Outbreak takes the top.

LoveOfTheGame3787d ago (Edited 3787d ago )

You and I may be the only people who actually believe that on this site, unfortunately.

I know it's not close to be considered one of the best, but damn if it wasn't the most fun I've had on a Resident Evil game.

My only gripe is that it was on the PS2, which meant no online for me. Imagine that game remade with today's online; ultimate 4-player scavenge and survive horror.

That game was basically a survival horror version of Diablo just waiting to be made. Different starting classes and scavenge for weapons with a constant threat(always infected).

DCfan3787d ago

I know how it feels.
What i liked about the game was how hard it was, especially the hospital level with the zombie wih leaches over him that keeps following you and never dies.
I noticed how dumb the AI can be at times, wish they would remake it with 4 playr co-op, but you know its capcom

Kyosuke_Sanada3787d ago

Did somebody say Outbreak?! That is one game I wished more people appreciated not only for the series to flourish but to see a main entry be created using the same engine. It was used instead to make Haunting Ground which I rank one of the best survival horror ever made.

DCfan3786d ago

Outbreak went under the radar because they focused too much on the online part, and the PS2 online infrastructure was... eh. still a great game to this day. I was looking for Haunting Ground, but its pretty rare and goes for 100$ online.

CoryHG3787d ago

Did someone forget to add Remake? It was almost a completely different game.

pootymcpoockle3787d ago

For me:
RE1 (Specifically the GC Remake)
RE: Zero
RE: 2
RE: 3
RE: Code Veronica
RE: Survivor
RE: 4

RE 5 and 6 just don't make the cut, and 4 BARELY got onto my list as I hardly even consider it a resi game.

Fallout 4's 'next gen' update is over 14 gigs, breaks modded saves, & doesn't change much at all

We were expecting problems with mod support, but there are a lot of other issues.

isarai5h ago

Wow what the actual hell 🤣🤣🤣

just_looken5h ago

This is why you get the GOG version on gog you can select the version of the game to download.

On pc fallout 4 fallout new vegas and skyrim are all broken on steam because they all got the same "next gen" update.

Skyrim dec 2023
https://www.pcgamer.com/sky...

Can not find new vegas but anyone that modded it knows the script extender there was also broken

Valkyrye3h ago

Not accidental, they want modders to stop modding their older games to force them to mod Shitfield.

just_looken2h ago

There doing the same on starfield with a mods store and blocking mods

There goal is like blizzard and what they did with fallout 76 you make mods they can sell and you become a slave.

On skyrim they have "trusted" mod devs now basically a badge that lets your mod on the store you get a crumb of the sale when someone buys it.

Inverno21m ago

lol to the disagrees, the last Skyrim update broke mods too. They've been trying to kill mods to monetize them in creation club for years, it's not a stretch that they purposely put out patches just to break free mods.
