Consoles: One box to rule them all?

A titanic battle for the living room is under way, as Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony's Playstation 4 try to offer us the all-purpose device that will give us all the entertainment we need. The convergence we've been told about for years is happening and it looks like a games console.

yep, ok... your right though.... PS4 is for the player, X1 is for everyone else, and smart gamers not dumb enough to miss out on great games because of some crazy relation with Sony, who love you(wallet).... Glad to see you keep your options open...

@Ps4beaver Its M$ and Sony with their buy the games and lock em up for just their system that hurts my wallet. Why should I shell out 1000 bucks on 2 systems to play the games I want, back to my wallet $400 or $500 with a web cam don't want a web cam yeah $400 is my deal. Forgot I don't buy a game system to watch tv my dvr doesn't need a door man.

Well becoming a multimedia center was inevitable. It would be just stupid not to include apps and a web browser when the hardware is all there. Just a matter of adding software.

Most people will buy a system for the games and the other features are a bonus. Only thing is PS4 does the games part better and at a cheaper price.

And BTW how many gamers out there even have live TV anymore?
