I'm not sure why this is news right now; I thought all of this was well-established.

Some people don't follow game sites constantly or could be coming back from deployments. I didn't even know that MS made the 360 till I came back from Iraq. I do think they should have more substance than this article. I like to find all my info in one spot, not search for it

The PS4 does not directly play PS3/2/1 games either.

kiz26943810d ago

Was this comparing the two at all? No. No need to bring it up. At least it will. even if it is indirectly through giakai.

Kneejerk fanboy reaction? Really? They're not comparing the two, or saying one is better than the other, so why the need to immediately say this? Reveals a lot about how defensive you are, just be happy about the console you've chosen.

Besides....if the PS3 can emulate PS1 and PS2, then the PS4 will be able to as well...it's just a matter of them working on that after the launch is over with. The only issue is PS3 games, and Gaikai streaming may (stress, may) be a solution to that.

You have to pay Sony "again" to play the PS3 games you already paid for. That's on top of now having to pay for multiplayer on PS4. Something Sony fans trashed Xbox for years but started holding hands and singing "koom by ya" when Sony announced they were charging for PS4.

SoulSercher6203809d ago

The only difference is you get a VALUE when you pay for PS Plus. You do know what value is right or are you too ignorant to see that?

Yes u can play 360 games on XBone, Just hook X360 HDMI in XBone. Problem solved.

Galletto33809d ago

Will it have latency problems?

Like I know the PS4 had some lag, but since the 360 is less powerful, should it not be an issue?

porkChop3809d ago

Except that will introduce a significant amount of input lag. Certain games will be playable, no doubt, but any game that requires quick movements and split second reactions likely won't be enjoyable.

dennett3163809d ago

That's still not playing them on the Xbox One though. By that logic, my TV currently plays PS3 and Wii U games because I have them connected to it's HDMI ports.

As others said, there may be an issue with input lag being added. It'd be playable, but not ideal. Much better to just keep your 360 and plug it straight into the TV.
