"Back in 1997 Stainless Games released Carmageddon, a vehicular combat game inspired by the 1975 cult classic movie Death Race 2000. The game garnered praise among gamers but also attracted a lot of controversy facing bans in countries like Germany and United Kingdom. But that did not stopped Stainless Games from developing a sequel, titled Carmageddon II: Carpocalypse Now which saw even more controversy."
VVV: "Carmageddon Reincarnation has received a special Christmas update adding some new crazy cars to mercilessly mow down pedestrians with.
The third update introduces players to the Blitzkrieger, the first tracked wheel to feature in the game driven by recurring character Heinz Faust. As such, the Heinz Faust is an updated version of the tracked vehicle from the first Carmageddon. Both share design inspirations from Mercedes - the original was quite obviously based on a Mercedes SLK, whereas the updated car seems to be based on a modern Mercedes SLS."
Stainless Games has released a new update for Carmageddon: Reincarnation that improves the game’s performance and visuals. As the team noted, with this patch there is a 15-25% increase across the board on 1080p, standard settings.
Lol, influence from death race 2000 was heavy when it first released, and looks even better now. Pretty cool to see this upgraded to the way it looks now. Pretty cool.

This game was so incredible back in the day. I can't imagine how good it will play with the advanced visuals and physics that next generation systems offer. I just hope they take full vantage of them. I would love to see the cars ripping apart piece by piece, as they would in real life. Online, I don't think people could get a better experience, if it's done right.
This looks sexy.
Man this game brings back memories... one of my fav games of the 90s.
Getting points to run people over will always work well.
I remember playing this on my beast machine, IBM aptiva...Lol
