Aonuma elaborates on the ideas Zelda Wii U will include from Wind Waker HD

Wind Waker HD was used as a starting point of sorts for Zelda’s first original outing on Wii U. Series producer Eiji Aonuma has previously spoken about how the updated GameCube release was a way for the development team to get its feet wet in terms of creating Zelda games for Nintendo’s latest console.

lol at the suicidal disagree-er.
OT the new zelda is looking to be good, i wonder if they'll put in the SS motion controls for those that want them (not me)

The new Zelda being the upcoming game we know absolutely nothing about?

No.

It doesn't "look" anything, good or bad.

From what Aonuma has been saying about it, it seems promising. That's what i mean. It looks to be a return to form after the linear SS.

XXXL3837d ago

All they have to do is look at Skyward Sword and do the complete opposite. That game sucked. No more hand holding let us take off and explore right from the beginning.

CrossingEden3837d ago

Skyward Sword, although more linear had fantastic game design and a fantastic world to play in.

XXXL3836d ago

Yeah that's it. Or maybe Nintendo sheep like yourself just keep flocking to their games and will defend them to the death even when they clearly release a title that doesn't live up to expectations and can't hold a candle to other games in the series....

Neonridr3836d ago

@XXXL - that's why it was a GOTY contender and holds a 93 ranking on metacritic? Because it sucked right?

lol

The dousing was stupid as hell. But the enemy dynamic was absolutely brilliant.

Nevers0ft3836d ago

Similar to the dousing sections, the Spirit Vessel collection just sucked the life out of me. It's a great game, but screw those fetch quests, screw them in the a**!

ChickeyCantor3836d ago

In TP or SS?
I liked it in SS because it was creepy as hell.

Nevers0ft3835d ago (Edited 3835d ago )

Skyward Sword. It wasn't the hunting them down that bothered me, it was the seemingly random deaths and restarts. It was frustrating as hell (or I suck at the game - or both). I'm getting pissed off again just thinking about it :)

I loved SS but I am very aware that some liked WW and TP more. To each their own- I know however that the next Zelda will be different and possibly better than SS.

-That is one reason I keep coming back to Zelda. Same title but different Gameplay in-between the franchise's lifespan.

I guess, I will have to wait for the new handheld to drop before I get a new taste of the exact-SS formula (that I loved).
