Too many games these days have been running on "easy mode" and leading the player through the story just a little too much - could the upcoming A Link Between Worlds manage to help change the tide?
According to Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma:
"I think that one thing all game developers worry about when they're putting something into a game is, 'Will people notice it? Will people realize what they're supposed to do?' And we kind of have a bad habit of hand-holding, trying to make things easier for everyone.
"But more and more, I start to think that that kind of isn't actually that fun."
The Nintendo 3DS' The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is now 10 years old, yet remains a remarkable experience.
Calling this classic feels so weird to me. It's still the newest game in the old style... hope they make another one.
it was an awesome game and utilized the 3D very well on the 3DS. A Link to the Past is one of my favorite Zelda games, so this one being a true sequel to that title really hit home with me.
Even if the eShop has now closed down, the best 3DS games are still worth playing — in any way you can get your hands on them.
Zelda games are all incredible, but the series shines particularly bright on handhelds.
Then explain Fi?
I enjoyed Skyward Sword, but I hated that my hand was constantly held throughout the entire game. There should have been an option to turn off Fi's constant reminders and hints. She was far worse than Navi.
