Wtf. Does this make it pay to win?

Snookies123881d ago (Edited 3881d ago )

Yes this would, if true. I certainly hope it's not though.

Then again, even if you have a ton of money in-game it won't really have much bearing on winning/losing.

3-4-53881d ago

No, it makes it "pay to enjoy a nice house" without having to earn it.

I will be earning my money the hard way....the fun way.

Infamous2983881d ago

Rockstar are becoming greedy and that is bad.

xhi43881d ago

Not really - it's business, they've got to make money out of it - they'll probably end up making it a huge free to play universe where earning money in-game is vital to progression, but allow some people to buy credits so they can speed up and unlock/buy things quicker if they want to.

I say good stuff Rockstar, good business model and keep pumping out awesome content!

they go where the industry is going and we are to blame.
I guess if the industry go in this way its because there is a lot of people who buy micro transaction stuff.

FullMetalTech3881d ago

wel there was info on this before. Some early players saw that there were guns missing in the Ammunation store which lead them to the Marketplace. It had them priced
individual.

Stuntz3881d ago

Sucks to see that gta online will now be pay to win money is going to run the online and this puts the pin on it claiming the people who buy the cards will have the better stuff and own the online experience.

Joe9133881d ago (Edited 3881d ago )

I hope GTAO is sold separately I would love to pay for just the online portion of the game. It looks like it they keep on saying it is free for ppl who paid for GTAV already so I hope if you did not buy GTAV then you can pay like half and just get the online part lol. I won’t even buy this game until online comes out.
OT: I see nothing wrong with this if done right if you don't want to wait and build up money slow then why not spend real money to get a lot of GTA money real quick that way you can go buy guns and houses because some people don't want to wait and stack money to go buy a house.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing6916d ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

Profchaos16d ago

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Demetrius15d ago

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy8516d ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

Demetrius15d ago

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
