I ve been waiting on some news about this game. Im really looking forward to it.

XboxFun3871d ago (Edited 3871d ago )

Hell yea! This is exactly what I'm talking about. I really hope it's just as out there and strange as Deadly Premonition.

I'm also really excited to see how the Kinect works for this. This is exactly why it is good the MS included a Kinect in every box.

A definite buy for the Xbox One!

Convas3871d ago

It also can be played with controller which is an excellent two-fold play on MS' part.

Include Kinect so devs have incentive to do something unique or different with their games, but also keep controller play on the table for those who want it.

There really isn't a way to lose in that situation.

XboxFun3871d ago

I definitely agree.

I like the fact that any dev can have access to the Kinect in conjunction with the controller and not have to worry about if anyone not owning the peripheral.

It's 100% guaranteed an Xbox One owner will have it and use it in the way the dev intended it to be.

I think I might end up thanking M$ for FORCING Kinect on me. This game sounds interesting and mysterious. I am not praising anything I have not yet experienced, but the fact that M$ is not really hyping Kinect, to me means that they are now learning a lot of stuff that they are not ready to make public. This new Kinect will not get the same push that the first one got. That is because they don't need to sell it. They just have to focus on teaching developers how to tap into its features, LOL.

Hope this guy isn't going to try to make me kiss an on screen chick. That is just not going to happen.

Can't believe Francis York Morgan is actually getting another adventure.

Jackhass1633d ago

Yeah, me either. Will be interesting to see if it can recapture the weird appeal of the first one.

Alexious1633d ago

Can't wait for this sequel

Jackhass1633d ago

Here's hoping it takes the story in a direction we'd never expect.

Nacho_Z1633d ago

That's cool about DP2, I enjoyed the original mainly because of the Twin Peaks vibe but damn it was as rough as a badgers arse. More of the same but less janky sounds good.

Veneno1633d ago

If you really love Twin Peaks and David Lynch I think you would believe that Deadly Premonition doesn't work unless it has a good amount of jank. Twin Peaks the Return came out in 2016 and it still leaves modern special effects to the curb for a more handmade, practical feel. Down home yet surreal and existential.

I hope DP2 has a heavy helping of Twin Peaks as much or more than the first. So far it doesn't look that way. I'm concerned.

Jackhass1633d ago

DP2 can have a "handmade" feel without literally being rough/glitchy.

Hardiman1633d ago

I loved Deadly Premonition! Such an odd wonderful game. Really happy it's getting a sequel!

Open world, huh? Not gonna lie, I'm a little hesitant when I hear that from Suda.

Jackhass1634d ago (Edited 1634d ago )

Ideally we get something similar in scope/complexity to early Yakuza games -- here's hoping.

FinalFantasyFanatic1634d ago

Wasn't the first game kind of like that though, just very limited in size and where you could go?

Concertoine1633d ago

The open world in the first game was kind of an abstract joke or something. It was my least favorite part of the game but looking back, it is kind of funny how purposefully bad it was.

Chris_Wray1634d ago

Sounds like Suda, completely insane. I can't say I like the open world move though.

Jackhass1634d ago

The first game's world was okay, if a little empty.

Segata1634d ago

I love NMH but the open world was awful. No people. Nothing to do. Wasn't just a little empty. It was 100% empty.

AK911634d ago

Still wonder if the first two will be remastered on Switch.

Jackhass1634d ago

Good question -- they might need a little too much work to be brought up to modern standards.
