September 14th.... The game is not being sold yet except to a few inside people. GTA V's pre-orders is enough to murder saints row sales. Wait for the game to release before comparing sales

Wasn't comparing sales at all, the key word here is 'ahead.' Once GTA V is out, the UK Charts will be dominated for weeks so this is the last time Saints Row IV will be at the top. It had a very good run, though, with four weeks at No. 1.

It will be interesting to see the sales numbers of GTA V against COD Ghosts.

Well it was left alone pretty much , bare what Diablo ? So i dont think it's that impressive . i'll be impressed when we see numbers , and if its actually evenc lose to what SR3 sold

Im not sure how well GTA will do against COD.
Especially since COD will be on next gen too.
Would be nice to see COD not come first, many people get addicted to the FPS and do not like TPS.
We will have to wait and see, I know Im going to be on the GTA multiplayer most of the time.

Fifa 14/ Pes 14 etc.. have yet to come out too.
MAny people will be buying those games, so its an interesting time

i don't wanna state the obvious but well done volition, u deserve the sales, in next gen, please make sr like sr 1 and 2

GentlemenRUs3875d ago

Sigh...

I wish people would stop saying the wackiness of SR is crap... I need another game where I can have crazy fun and not all serious like GTA, Not a game trying to copy GTA's seriousness...

I might sound harsh but there's nothing wrong with what SR is now ;)

Volition's Saints Row 4 PC upgrade was meant to be a make-good, but it broke the game instead

Remember this year's Saints Row(opens in new tab)? Volition would probably prefer that you didn't, which might go some way to explaining why the studio recently decided to upgrade everyone's copy of Saints Row 4(opens in new tab) to its full-fat Re-elected Edition, containing all the game's story and cosmetic DLC and even introducing cross-play between Steam, Epic, and GOG versions of the game.

Unfortunately, that upgrade seems to have backfired, and players now report a myriad of bugs with their new version of SR4. Both the Saints Row Steam forums(opens in new tab) and subreddit(opens in new tab) are filled with players complaining of broken saves, crashes, and mods failing to function. It's also received a few hundred negative Steam reviews(opens in new tab) since the update. If it's succeeded in washing the taste of Saints Row (2022) out of players' mouths, it's only because it tastes even worse.

I wonder if Volition's getting reorged under Gearbox impacted the quality of their release.

i can't help but laugh at this comment. Gearbox can't even run themselves.
