I love Nintendo. I love Nintendo. I love Nintendo.
I feel the need to say that over and over again to begin with because this post will inevitably be read by some as some sort of anti-Nintendo screed. I know that because every single time I write anything mildly critical of Nintendo, groups of folks reveal themselves that make Android and iPhone diehards look like placid hippies. Those people are really going to hate this post.
Game Rant participates in the Megaton Musashi World Cup, checking out the game a little bit beforehand and winning the first round match.
While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.
It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
Armored Core VI?
Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
Space opera fans deserve a chance to experience the vastness of Infinite Space, and Sega needs to make up for its mistake.
I still go back to Infinite Space from time to time. Probably the most underrated game I ever played.
"Meanwhile, the Nintendo 2DS will come out and will probably sell quite well at first thanks to a well-timed Pokemon release. But all the 2DS really is is an admission that the 3DS is ultimately a failure."
I don't get this line. How can anyone say this? Because it didn't sell as much as the DS one of the best selling console and fastest selling consoles of all time? By that logic, PS3 is a failure(Which we know is not true) because it has not sold as much as PS2.
I agree that Nintendo's current situation is not so good. However there's no actual doom saying to be said yet.
We're about to have a WORLD WIDE Pokemon launch as well as a cheaper alternative to the 3DS on the SAME DAY. The 3DS has sold 33 million already. I hope you know where I'm getting at.
As for the Wii U, we'll just have to wait and see.

what? lol, that literally made no sense.
The 3ds is doing well but the wiiu is another story and I really dont see any room for it. I really wish nintendo would move away from the console market and become a third party developer than I could play their games on playstation!!! I cant justify spending money on a wiiu just to play a few nintendo games
Nintendo handhelds outsell Sony handhelds hand over fist and they've had no serious competitor in that market since they entered it. Console wise, since the NES they've been gradually declining in sales until the Wii, which blew everyone out of the water sales wise. Console wise the Wii U is a return to previous form for them, before the Wii blip, they sell consoles to their fans - they have difficulty attracting new customers, that's their problem in the console market (and they could calm down with the gimmicks). But they're fine. Nintendo will live on even after Microsoft and Sony pack in the console game. Someone will always want a new Mario, Zelda or Pokemon game.
