2013 gotta be one of the best years in gaming history, we were spoiled with 2 amazing unforgettable games so far.
BioShock & TLOU are so great, they are totally different. The only thing they have in common is having a female companion.
I like the intellectual approach in Inf, and Emotional approach in TLOU.
For me, I prefer TLOU. Simply because it's really hard to connect emotionally with gamers. You don't get this kind of game everyday.

Bioshock Infinite was much more memorable for me!

Lol at the disagrees, even tho u said 'for me'

MadMax3894d ago (Edited 3894d ago )

Yea, no kidding! Guess some of these cry babies dont allow people to have their own opinion. Maybe next time it would be better if i left out, the for me part! Really give em a reason to cry! The mentality of some of these kids. Haha!

sashimi3894d ago (Edited 3894d ago )

yeah and those disagrees are saying that TLOU was more memorable for them...not every person has to write a reply to every single post in order to express their opinion to whoever they want to reply to. Whats the point of complaining about degrees?

just cause people click disagree does not mean they deny your opinion or that you aren't allowed an opinion.
The fact that you generalize and start naming calling just shows how much of a kid you really are.

While on the subject i am currently playing through Bioshock Infinite(half way) and it is a good game but for me it doesn't compare at all to TLOU which i played near release date over 4 times and have since watched numerous lets plays and streams of tlou SP/MP. While i'm sure i'll like the story i doubt i'll spend as much time as i have with tlou once i finish my 1st playthough and go again for the 1999 mode

It's a disagree, not a dislike, and people who enjoyed TLOU have every right to disagree with your opinion.

IMHO, I enjoyed Infinite more than Us. When I played the games I was hyped about the dialogues between the main characters, and I found the dialogues in Infinite to be a little bit superior. I did however love both games.

Arrrriibaa3894d ago (Edited 3894d ago )

There were not much dialogues in Infinite, most of them were scriptet that means you can't miss them.

That's different in TLOU. There are dozens of optional conversations with Ellie and Joel, just by looking at something an as example or finding something, or just little interactions give you a whole new experience, because they give you an even deeper look in the characters. If you rush the game, you won't know important stuff from the characters and their history.

I guess there's different opinions on this, but I really enjoyed these scripted dialogues.

I think it's just great that we have two games from around the same time where the talent of writing for characters has come to the point where we can relate to them and not just some old here’s a pretty girl for you to rescue.

***Spoiler for Bioshock Infinite***
It's good that these games went for the parental role instead of love interest. It puts you in a more protective state of mind and with so many gamers now getting to the age where they do have kids I think we can relate to this.

Both are very different stories. One in the past with future tech and the other in the future where everything has gone low tech, they are very different playing experiences.
I think because Last of us is based more in a real world I think I related to that more.

ufo8mycat3894d ago

Both great games but TLOU for sure.

What an amazing experience.

I think I paused TLOU about 4 times because I was so overwhelmed at how great it was.

Arrrriibaa3894d ago

Yes, Bioshock Infinite is great, but TLOU plays is on a different level.
