This Man Likes the Vita So Much, He Practically Remade His Game For It

Kotaku: ''As of July 23rd, Square Enix has released its popular RPG, Chaos Rings, to the PlayStation Mobile section of the PlayStation Store, where it can be downloaded and played on smartphones, tablets, and the PS Vita.

When asked why he decided to release the formerly smartphone-only game on PS Mobile, producer Takehiro Ando's answer was surprisingly simple.''

This is the same artist behind Front Mission 4 and the Saga series right?

Edit: Just found out this game was developed by Media Vision (developers of Wild Arms series) along side with Takehiro who worked on titles like Star Ocean 2 and Radiata Stories.

i'm very curious to why I'm getting disagrees just for asking.

@ Lord_Sloth

really? I guess you are right because when I do bring up a question, 90% of the time I get disagrees.

Edit: I just found out who the artist is, Yusuke Naora. He acts as an art director most of the time, but I like it when he designs the characters himself. A style that even his staffs can't really perfect.

Never question disagrees. Pretend they don't exist and you will do fine here at N4G.

Because you're a fanboy... jk jk, someone was going to say it, though :)

"When asked why he decided to release the formerly smartphone-only game on PS Mobile, producer Takehiro Ando's answer was surprisingly simple. "To be frank, I really like the PlayStation Vita," he remarked in an interview with Weekly Famitsu.

"To be honest, I made it because other developers have been taking their time releasing good games for the PS Vita."

Love like this for game creation is an intangible factor that's oft overlooked in a dev's creation of a game. PD, ND, GG, SMS, MM, and Kojima are a few that come to mind.

Awesome game and loving it on my vita.

I read comments on vita boards that it's laggy compared to even a 4S.

If that's true then just wow.

xxPillsxx3926d ago

What ya mean? Cause after the 2.00/2.10 firmware update the PS Vita's browser works PERFECTLY(284 score on html5test and number 1 on gaming platforms), and I use it to read N4G everyday when I'm at work, I can check mails, I can go to PS Independent and chat and I can post comments too, just like now.
Did you update your PS Vita?...

tubers3926d ago

I'm talking about Chaos Rings.

The browser has been unstable with the 5 VITA's I've had (replaced all to just 1) but that's not the topic.

xxPillsxx3926d ago

Oh, nevermind then, I thought you was talking about the Vita's browser, too bad I can't delete the comment...

boybato3926d ago

i don't think the HW is to blame if this game is laggy. Also it might be worth pointing out for some that the game does not run on Vita's native res as well...

lazy port if you'll ask me.

tubers3926d ago

I read somewhere before that it could be the PSM environment as devs are only allowed 80+ mb to 120+ mb for PSM games.

porkChop3926d ago

It's because of PSM's dumb constraints/limitations.

This guy, is my hero.
Chaos Rings is cool too! Bring us a sequel!

Chaos Rings is like the ultimate "OK I guess" game.

OhMyGandhi3188d ago (Edited 3188d ago )

for me, mobile games start and end with "Run Roo Run". That game was dangerously addicting.
