5 Great things About Xbox One

After all those changes on the Xbox One i think that there is a pretty even running with the console wars. I am proud to say at some point or another i will purchase both... coming from the gamer that bought a Wii U on day one x) lol

I loved my Xbox. I love my 360.

However, 4 years orso ago, MS decided to take the 360 into a direction that isn't a path I'm willing to follow. Kinect. Dashboard apps. And mostly greed and taking away consumer rights.

And they lost me.

The trust is gone. The love is gone.

Not saying I'll never buy an Xbox One. They might change direction again. They might win back trust. And love.

But for now, my first choice next-gen will be PS4.

a) no one used otherOS. sorry... less than 1% of the userbase (at the time it was still around) used it...

Meaning that because they dont have the same studio relations as Sony, they essentially moved their core games over to the xb1 to be worked on while filling in the empty space on the 360 with kinect/3rd party games.

That really isnt that uncommon. nintendo did that with the onset of the SNES. Sega did that as well. When a platform is getting late in life is when we see more 3rd party games than 1st party. This is because there is a shift internally to push development on new games for an upcoming new platform.

Sony would be a good exception as they have plenty of content that is in development for the core gamer on their current platform while games are in development on their next platform. They can manage their resources better than any other company I can think of.

I still am sticking with ps4 but will eventually pick up the Xbox One for exclusives like titanfall and deadrising 3

I am so excited for Dead Rising 3. For some reason titanfall hasnt impressed me all that much. I think its because of my personal style of games though.

I will also be the proud owner of a XBOX ONE as well as a PS4 come this November. I could care less about fanboyism. Just show me the GAMES!!!! On another note, I will be getting Titanfall. Looks to be a fresh perspective on a genre that I've gotten very tired of lately. I know the core mechanics will be basically the same, but at least this is not the same ol Same ol COD rehash.

2 Slot loading disc drive
3 Advertised as sitting on its side instead of vertically like the 360 when it was highly recommended to use the console on its side so it wouldn't scratch games.
4 ALL consoles come with a hard drive in mind for developers just like the Xbox 1, sorry the Xbox Classic.
5 Games install to the hard drive now.

So pretty much most things that make the PS3 shit to Xbots are the best parts of the Xbone.

How can you honestly believe a word MS say about games development? They abandoned us 3 years ago and now all of a sudden, when they want a monkey off me they suddenly come up with some games.

WTF are you talking about? Yea, over the past 2-3 years, I have bought tons of core games on X360 and will continue to purchase more games for X360. Just because the PS4 have a few more exclusives doesn't mean jack when the X360 also have a great lineup of core games. In addition to every major third party games that are available on 360, exclusives like Forza Horizon. Halo 4, Gears of War Judgement, State of Decay, Fable Anniversary, Project Spark, World of Tanks, Titanfall and the release of a new X360 model show that the X360 is here to stay for many more years to come. Remove that Tin foil hat from your head and you shall see the light. So how many core games have you purchased over the past 2 years?

Ok, so you listed some great games......how many were exclusives backed by MS again???????

Almost everything you wasted your time listing came out on PS3 too, yet Sony didn't rely on 3rd party publishers to entertain their customers they added to the choice of their customers by release amazing exclusive after amazing exclusive.

As it happens I own coming up on 150 games for my PS3, is that enough for you squire?

While I admit Forza, GoW and HALO are good games that is almost all you have had on top of 3rd party content. I think its you who is deluded if you think MS have been supporting the customers who made them so popular this generation.

Surely by now its commonly accepted that its been slim pickings for exclusives on 360 over the last 3 years - I think its you who needs to see the light chief!

You enjoy your games too dude, I will enjoy the wider selection of games I currently have to choose from and also look forward to 6 or so exclusives lined up on PS3 over the coming months.

1. Achievements? Umm...Achievements don't matter. You aren't cooler because you have done more or less cooler if you've done less.

Going to the moon is an achievement. Playing video games is for fun, as you don't actually achieve anything.

But I can understand if people want them, so if they have them, fine.

The problem is.....it's not a new thing. How can we praise the Xbox One for having achievements. It's like praising Ford for including tires on a brand new car.

2. Improved sports experience? Not really. I can get my fantasy stats updated for free through my PC. In fact I can watch my HDTV and still have my PC open since I have 2 HDTV's only ~4 feet apart from each other. But even then, how hard is it to use your PC....or cellphone to get your fantasy stats?

Also, for right now it's only the NFL. So really once again why praise a REDUNDANT feature that is so easily done elsewhere, and so far it only supports one sport...and one in which basically only matters to my fellow Americans.

What's funny is with a PC you get to CONTROL what you see about your fantasy and other sports stuff. With Xbox One, you get a limited data stream. In other words, fantasy news and updates will still be 10000x better on your PC.

3. Twitch? Seriously?

Look people, having an easier way for people to review games is alright. But it really only matters to the creator. Youtube is already saturated with walkthroughs, reviews, and hints on everything. So what are we really gaining, when we already have all that we need or want at our fingertips?

Guess what, I don't want to watch you play games. You don't want to watch me play games.

Some funny things can be shown, but again they already are.

So what does twitch bring that people actually want that isn't already provided for MASSIVELY? Nothing.

So I don't know why it should matter to most people, as most people won't be using these features, and for the few that do, nobody will be watching.

4. Exclusive games....oohh. Every console has exclusives. So I don't know what the praise is for. Kind of a generic 'great thing'. PC and PS4 have far, far MORE exclusives. But again, how can simply saying....exclusives be a 'great thing'.

5. They listened?

No...they saw they were getting killed and made a business decision.

They didn't listen. Because if they HAD listened, they would have made changes in January not June. They lied through their teeth time after time...par for the course for M$, and only temporarily backtracked on SOME of the issues.

The fact they did what they did was ONLY possible because they DIDN'T listen.

If they listened so well, why do I need the NSA Kinect 2 connected in order to run an Xbox One? It will be exploiting you guaranteed, microsoft already admitted to it. They just spin it as not exploiting you, and denying it will spy on you...though that is complete BS. They give the NSA anything they want and have for a long, long time. They were the first to partner with the NSA and have been building back doors into windows for gov't since Windows 95 AND allowing 0-day exploits to be used against people by the gov't for who they TOLD about the exploits...instead of fixing them.

This whole article is a complete spin job and ignorant of the obvious.
