A new set of screenshots for Obsidian Entertainment’s upcoming RPG, Project Eternity, has been leaked to the Internet.
Ten of the highest funded crowdfunded games to date.
AusGamers chats with prominent games industry figure, Obsidian Entertainment founder and CEO Feargus Urquhart about the upcoming Project Eternity, the recently announced Armored Warfare, the studio’s involvement in Russian MMO Skyforge, and more.
With publisher Paradox Entertainment having recently taken on marketing and distribution duties for Pillars of Eternity, AusGamers was fortunate enough to score some quality Q&A time with Obsidian Entertainment's Josh Sawyer to discuss the studio's much anticipated crowdfunded return to the classic party-based isometric-style RPG.
In this interview, Josh discusses the nuances of the game's development process and confirms the studio's intention for some manner of public beta testing ahead of the game's now planned late 2014 launch
looking good for an early build
Excited for this and the new Torment game, miss old school PC rpgs.
I really hope this is good--I broke down and kickstarted for this and the new Torment. First and only 2 games I've done that for thus far. Hopefully they (and other isometric rpgs) do well so we can see a revival (or at least spiritual successors) of some of the other classics.
Visually i really like the detail although not completely consistent in those screens (the last was the worst--still not bad though just bland compared to others and 'dated' in comparison). Granted they had said they were going for a more painted look and personally I like the style and am nostalgic for BG/ID/etc back in the day.
In the end I could care less how they look as long as they are at least halfway as enjoyable as the 'originals'.
this game is going to be epic
this looks so beautiful, these games are right up my alley, they speak to me on an almost spiritual level
lol....I truly love these types of games that much!!
if you are looking for a old school newish game, Inquisitor is pretty sweet....half off on gog right now
