Xbox One Information Roundup! | ReviewMango

Since its release in 2005, many would argue that the Xbox 360 is the clear winner of the seventh generation of gaming consoles. For over ten years now, it has supplied gamers with access to dependable online play with the Xbox Live service, and plenty of great exclusives. Arguments can be made that the console also delivered the best experience for cross-platform games. Soon though, the seventh generation will come to a close, and a new console war will begin. So what to make of the Xbox One?

"Clear winner" in the US only.

Every generation I start fresh and decide to get the best hardware for me. In this case, Xbox One blew it again. I really wanted a reboot or a sequel to Killer Instinct, and there it was! I was so excited and about to click the pre-order button for the Xbox... then it gets confirmed as a F2P! WTH!!! Is Microsoft really on the task of ruining every single Rare game? They ruined Banjo and Kazooie and now KI?!

For me the most important thing is the games. Well, I wouldn't have even considered buying an Xbox or any console with the DRM and all that BS even if it had the best games ever made, but now that that is history, we can focus on games. So far, Sony has the best games that entice me the most. Even if I got disappointed that they didn't announce more at E3, plus the multi platform games it will be a great launch.

As I do, people should focus on choosing sides based on what they like, not on what the others like or hate.

This is going to be my second generation with Sony and i am happy with it.

Well Killer instinct is not a F2P, if you purchase the Day one console then you get to download it for free but you only can play one player, if you want to unlock all players you would have to purchase a DLC or you can purchase the full gane. Killer instinct is going to be a full reboot of the game which will come free to download with one character on day one.

That's why it's called F2P.. You download it for free with one character and if you want more you have to buy it.

Yeah i was meant to say "is a F2P" My mistake.

article makes no sense, don't waste your time
Microsoft Strategy with XBOX 1 is like ken Kutaragi with PS3 (E3 2006) === Epic Fail , a game console must play games that's it.

'So what to make of the Xbox One?'. It's already a disappointment and it hasn't even launched.

Mystogan3960d ago

What is the disappointment?

They removed the DRM... And the price is perfectly reasonable with Kinect,Skype, True Multitasking and TV integration.

Gaming4Ever3960d ago

Everything about it has been, the whole fiasco has really destroyed people's trust. The price is far too high for an outdated console that is weaker than the PS4. As for Kinect (god help us), Skype multitasking and TV integration - who cares? I want a 'Games' console.

That launch lineup is also weak...

I wouldnt even call it a winner after the rrod fiasco, after they released kinect they dropped most support for the hardcore gamer! now with the xbox one they are trying to say the cloud enhances graphics evwn tho now they dropped the drm and always online so that was a strategy that didnt catch with the fans. I think they are charging 500 bucks because of the kinext 2.0 and ms has to pay roaltys to sony for every system that sell because of the nice blu ray player but over all I think this gen all I need is a better graphics card for my pc and buy a ps4 and thats about it. unless ninty brings it hard next year then ill have no choice but to get a used wii u!
