This has nothing to do with fanboyism...this goes beyond gaming...the visual DRM and profiling, the invasion of our living rooms with voice recognition/biometric & 3d scanning. The draconian DRM and it is all mandatory & online 24/7. E3 really doesn't mattter, whatever they show that always on mandatory Kinect will still be there. THINK. This is more than backlash & fanboyism. The only way they can redeem some of it, is removing the mandatory Kinect & the draconian DRM out of the equation. Shame on them for even wanting this. No respect for people. This device is more like a penalty than a service. What do you think they will do with that info on our private lives? That info is the new gold. You want to give it to them and pay to have your freedoms removed? They should pay us. I wouldn't buy it ever. Our freedoms are worth more than any money or games. Anyone who thinks that Sony's purchase of Gaikai means that they even the playing field with what MS is doing with their 300,000 servers giving extra power to the xbox ones is living in the clouds...The reality is Gaikai as of 2012 only had 12 servers on deck> LOL...LOL...While that's enough for their web based game streaming service...but its not even in the same realm as what Microsoft is doing. Grasp your minds around that...300,000 servers/data centers to Sonys 12. LOL...Which is why the xbox one is future proof and on every BOX it states..."Powered by the Cloud".

Like I said before, even if Sony tried to catch up, they are 7 years behind Microsoft as of now. The bottom line is that xbox one was built from the ground up to be cloud powered and future proof. Sony just basically purchased a game cloud streaming service company for a few million dollars that has 12 measily servers. LOL...But Sony fans always say..."We can do that too"..LOL Funny stuff people!

So lets say they sell 10million consoles so that's 33 always consoles for every server so how much extra power do you think one server is going to give 33 consoles honestly.
Realistically its going to cover all voice recognition in all languages with dialect etc a bit like siri and online services.

I understand that Microsoft will be using E3 to show off their range of exclusive games etc, but surely in the sane world you would put games at the fore front considering it is a games console.

In fact, I don't understand why they didn't just mix it all into one. Show off your entertainment and then show off your games and then you hit two birds with one stone. And before anyone says they did show off games, a couple of pre-rendered videos and predictable games is not what a consider a good showing.

You can understand why some developers are left venting. The conference was much more than just showing the public the new console, it was a chance for some developers to see what they can do in the next generation and they practically got nothing.

Well all I hope is that Microsoft brings a damn good show with them to E3 and I hope it is games games games and more games, because I have a feeling that's all Sony is going to be pounding on about seeing as they are all developer centric for this generation.

As of right now Microsoft has said that E3 is all about the games. I think if everyone on this site really believes that MS has lost its fans. They are seriously delusional. Right now MS getting the XBox One features out the way is the best thing they can do. E3 should be about games and how Xbox One works with them. Just think 15 exclusive in the first year, cloud technology, 300,000 servers for better matchmaking, remote play and more enhanced Xbox live,cross platform Xbox Gold account, carry achievements from one console to another, will be key for the gamers.

True fans would give the Xbox one the benefit of the doubt and never give up on them. I've been with OG Xbox since 2000 Yea they slipped on the last 3 e3s but I never gave up on them. Same thing goes. For my homie he never gave up on Sony. When they were dropping exclusives he would never find interest in. Lost $900 in the Sony hack. He still loves them.

Unless Microsoft gets rid of all of the 24/7 online, DRM, Used Game Fee Policy and so forth then I will never buy it.
I want to see games that I can't already get on the PC or will get eventually on the PS4.
I do understand Microsoft is trying to reach a broader audience but they shouldn't lose focus of what made their consoles big in the first place which is the games.
Lately these past 3-4 years it's been nothing but Kinect games and stupid limitations Microsoft has put on the Xbox.
