"The Last of Us has turned heads ever since its reveal, taking the much overused zombie apocalypse genre and tweaking it with a deadly real-world parasite fungus called the Cordyceps. Couple that with the theme of survival (and to what extent some people will go to ensure it), and The Last of Us is a story that could take the best of Romero’s socio-political Dead movies and Fallout 3‘s horrible Wastelands, and package them into a new strong and powerful story. After trying out two levels of The Last of Us recently, it seems to me that the game feels very much like a zombie-infested Uncharted game, which continues the narrative quality Naughty Dog is known for, but only marginally reaches past the Nathan Drake formula.
"The Last of Us plays very much like Uncharted. There are plenty of minor differences between the two, but the two games are very similar in design and presentation. Of course, this makes sense: Naughty Dog split their team to have some continue developing Uncharted 3, while the other half went on to create the The Last of Us. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Much like Uncharted, the story is strong, but focused less on a crazy adventure around the world, and centered more on the moment to moment danger its main characters Joel and Ellie get into. Where Uncharted‘s Nathan Drake and pals get into fast-paced shootouts that usually involve buildings crumbling and vehicles crashing, The Last of Us takes a much slower approach to action, drawing out the terror and suspense of encounters to emphasize the beauty and brutality of the world Joel and Ellie now live in."
"The Game Music Foundation are today very proud and pleased to announce an additional concert, circling back to the roots of Game Muisic Festival in Poland. On April 28th, 2024, the National Forum of Music in Wroclaw will once again become a place to celebrate the art of video game music, featuring scores from The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II." - The Game Music Foundation.

They are working on something new. Not to be rude but it is impossibility stupid to think ND next major announcement is going to be a remaster or their next Last of Us entry is going to be another remaster.
The team is sad for losing out on such a great project but celebrates its growth because of spending time on it.
All they had to do was make a basic online mode like their previous games. Instead they wanted more money and choose to go live service which makes games worse in my opinion.
What a waste of time and money, what a shame.
Not sure why they didn’t just make Factions 2. There was no need to make it a live service.
TLoU Factions was a great addition such a shame they couldn’t be bothered to remaster that for PS5 considering the crazy high price tag of the remaster of a remaster…
This is something to be celebrated. This studio is smart and they get it, even factions 2 wouldn't've have been worth the time. I am surprised they didn't just remaster the first one though, but actually how popular was Factions?
too much comparison to uncharted in this preview. This game is not meant to be uncharted buddy
Im not really sure how the author compares this game to uncharted when he says the tone, pace, and enemy AI are very different. Just because its made by the same developer doesnt mean that its a similar game. I thought this was a preview, not a point by point analysis of how this game may or may not resemble uncharted.
