I wanna' eat at that GT Café SO bad...

MastaMold3997d ago (Edited 3997d ago )

Right with you buddy.

Knushwood Butt3997d ago

Me too.

I've been to Motegi but I'm pretty sure that cafe wasn't there at the time. If it was, I'm pissed...

I really can't believe how popular this game is. The passion shown for this game is crazy. For me it is just absolutely boring, but I envy all you guys who can take advantage of all the features because the game delivers so much bang for your buck. I'm impressed by some of the things listed here. Bet that restaurant is awesome. Wish I was more of a petrol head lol.

Morpheuzpr3997d ago

you need to try the game with a good force feedback driving wheel, it is a completely different experience. This game was not, I repeat, it was not made to be played with a controller.

I_LOVE_MYSELF3997d ago

I do, don't I? I bet it's a lot of fun.

kayoss3997d ago (Edited 3997d ago )

Its funny you mention force feedback driving wheel. The reason why its funny is that i perform better with a controller then a steering wheel. Maybe because im so used to using the dualshock. When i was in college, i was really into drifting and I thought that would translate really well when using the wheel playing gran turismo. I had a better time using the controller. Wierd huh? o_O

Morpheuzpr3997d ago

^^
Not wierd at all. It's actually harder with a wheel, at lest till you get used to it.

This is my nefew on playing on my rig.

You guys should try the Move Wheel. I prefer it to the controller and it's a nice alternative when I don't feel like dragging out my steering wheel. :)

Is has outsold both Halo AND Zelda? That's insane!

kayoss3997d ago

I think it outsold Halo series, but only matched Zelda. Thats how i interpreted, "Gran Turismo’s 70 million matches the 25-year-old Legend of Zelda". I mean once GT6 comes out it will surpass the zelda series. Gran Turismo is probably one of the select few games that I know are universally popular world wide. Its popular in the U.S, Europe, Japn, South America, Asia, etc...

WeAreLegion3997d ago

Click on the link to Zelda in the article. It has only sold 54 million. I'm not sure why the writer makes it seem closer.

I still don't get it that Porsche a big part of the Volkswagen Group which a number of it's affiliates are in the game - Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Volkswagen would not let their cars ( or lack of ) join in?.

What did Sony/Polyphony/GranTurismo do to Porsche anyway?

Wish they took or somebody could post pictures of what the GranTurismo cafe looks like inside.. Please.

Skate-AK3997d ago (Edited 3997d ago )

EA is the only publisher that has the rights to put a Porsche in a game as far I know. It has nothing to do with Sony/Polyphony/GranTurismo but everything to do with money.

neoMAXMLC3997d ago (Edited 3997d ago )

I think it has to do with EA hogging the license for Porsche in video games. Even Turn 10 lost Porsche in Forza 4 for some time.

Edit -- ahhh beat me to it.

-------"director Kazunori Yamauchi was asked how many people worked on the original game. “On the first one, there were seven to 15 people, at different times,” Yamauchi said."

Lmao This still blows my mind. Bet they had absolutely NO IDEA the franchise would blow up like this.
