XMNR: Disney announced an exclusive deal with Electronic Arts on Monday to bring games based on the Star Wars movies to the PS4, next Xbox and PC. The news definitely has ramifications for the console market including the likelihood that Nintendo's Wii U is left on the outside looking in yet again.
WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "I feel The Hungry Lamb is for a specific audience, though I can’t quite align with whom that might be. It’s not thrilling enough to land in constant VN recommendations, it’s got uncomfortable relationships which will put most people off, and the endings never hit the high note that satisfies everything. The twists are pretty recognizable from a distance, the voice acting is good, the character designs are alright and the pacing is decent. So many things rubbed me the wrong way and it makes it very easy to delete it from my PC concluding the review. Dive in if you must because of morbid fascination, but you’ve been cautioned: it’s a downward spiral without anything to make the trip worthwhile."
Whether it's entering a zen state during DPS or the rush of dopamine on its completion, Destiny 2's Raids excels in multiplayer teamwork.
Available right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S via the EpiXR Game team, Aery - Cyber City is the latest addition to the series.
"unprecedented partnership"
Thats all that needs to be said. The WiiU support from EA has actually been worse then with the Gamecube so far, so its unprecedented in that regard.
Who knows if it was a fallout between EA and Nintendo over certain issues thats. Or if EA just doesnt want to waste resources on a port with gamepad features, you cant say EA games have been selling very well on the WiiU.
Why aren't any Wii U games (or at least not many) using the Wii-mote? Imagine Star Wars with the Wii-mote (and wii-motion-plus for added accuracy) and using it as a light sabre (and nunchuck for navigation).
Also, the Wii game pad could still be used too for menu's, and perhaps controlling ships/millenium falcon.
Even if EA doesn't wanna invest time making features exclusive to the Wii-mote and touch screen of the game pad, they can consolidate that by also allowing these same features on similar tech (PS Move, Cell Phones (both ps4 and 720 will be using cell-phones as second screens), etc.
Seriously, something like that should have been thought up by now, especially the idea of using Wii-mote/Ps move as a precise light sabre, and shooter in a FULL FLEDGED star wars game.
EA will definitely support the U once it gains a stronger intsall base. They simply dont want to waste resources in the shift to next gen. Im willing to bet they dont release versions of this years sports games on the PS4 or next Xbox either for this year. New console owners are tired of getting gimped versions the first time out. Maybe EA will wise up and hold off the relese til next years version to include specific features and actually utilize the next gen power of the U, PS4 and Xbox 720.
what a shame..
