Expect a big announcement from Sony about its next-gen PlayStation 4 console this month or possibly in early May, a source familiar with the company's marketing strategy told PCMag this week.
Sony already revealed some PlayStation 4 specs at a February event in which the company unveiled the console's controller (pictured) and a stereo camera with motion capture capabilities, but not, to the chagrin of gamers everywhere, the PS4 itself.
With Arkane Austin shutting its doors this week, it's a good time to reflect on one the most innovative roguelike-inspired triple-A experiences of recent years.
I’ve got it, never played it. Prey is a game I really wanted to like and it’s a game I really should have liked, everything about it is right up my street. But I just don’t know what it was but I just couldn’t stick with it.

"The Warsaw-based (Poland) indie games publisher Untold Tales and indie games developer Exit Plan Games, are today very happy and excited to announce that they have just released the free "Wild West" update for their open-world sandbox/adventure “Bang-On Balls: Chronicles“ (the said update is available right now for PC and consoles worldwide)." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
THERE IS MORE SONY?!?!?!
"Expect a big announcement from Sony about its next-gen PlayStation 4 console this month or possibly in early May, a source familiar with the company's marketing strategy told PCMag this week."
But early May is when the Xbox is supposed to be revealed, damn Sony are really starting to try and knock MS off. This would mean that MS are revealing the Xbox in May and Sony are trying to eliminate the thought of it by showing more.
"...,unless Sony manufactures its own event. That's precisely what Sony plans to do, according to the source, who said late April/early May will be the likeliest timeframe for a full-blown launch of the PS4."
So Sony are going to make another event, so they are showing what the PS4 will look like and more games and a more specific launch date, price, etc. but what about E3???
Sony is just trying to keep the spotlight on them and so far its working. Hiring Mark Cerny as lead system architect best thing they have done in years.
They are in it to win this time, this is how Sony was in the Playstation 1-2 era. Trying to crush any xbox hype.
They've held their own event pre-E3 for the past couple of years.
Both companies will have their own events dedicated to their next consoles.
Why fight over the spotlight at E3 when you can have your own event?
It's rather fun watching the next-gen unfold, both companies are fighting to gain the audience.
At the end of the day the harder they try the better it is for us.
LAWD HAVE MERCY.
lol Sony forgot to set their passive pre-emptive spell to [off]
