I'm sure that since Kojima and Cerny are friends, they can figure out some concepts for the PS4. Besides, I'm pretty sure Cerny is keeping a lid on games for now until they can release more information at other events like E3. I can't wait for Ground Zeroes, though. It looks great.
So, all I read was that it's no guaranteed success, that there needs to be software that takes advantage of its features for it to be successful.

With the odd exception of the 360, gaming devices need software that takes advantage of its strengths in order to be successful. SO what Kojima's saying here isn't really anything unexpected.
