Shenmue 3 could be headed to the Wii U

One of the main things to expect is Nintendo Support. Back in the day, Suzuki wanted Shenmue to be a Sega Dreamcast exclusive. With the industry looking different these days, Suzuki could very well be looking to make Shenmue 3 a Wii U exclusive. The Game could use quite a few unique spins on the Gamepad that not a lot of other developers would ulitize.

If this true I will be a guaranteed buyer.

I really doubt he would make it WiiU exclusive. Budget would be too big for a exclusive release.

Not if Nintendo willing to fund the whole game and have dev input. But who knows most likely kickstart it for sure

Didn't Shenmue 1 cost about 47 million dollars to make and the second one cost about 70 million? That is close to 65 to 100 million in today's US dollars. I truly doubt it being a Wii U exclusives, I doubt it being exclusive to any platform at this point.

They will release the games on as many platforms as they can to make up every dollar invested into the game.

If this was exclusive to the Wii U, this game would push some serious consoles sales.

Seeing how Shenmue was the only hope left for the Dreamcast against the hype of PS2, Shenmue 3 would make perfect sense exclusive on Wii U.

That better not happen i want it on PS4 with better graphics

Spiritually making Shenmue III as Wii U exclusive makes sense. The PS2 was announced, it was a dark time for Sega and Shenmue was the only thing to look forward to. Hopefully Nintendo can fund it like Bayonetta because I know Sony and Microsoft sure as hell won't.

Sega and Nintendo for life.

I doubt Sega would want to make Shenmue 3 without taking advantage if Shenmue's spiritual successor popularity. SO if it was ever made, it would be a multiplat game from the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio (assuming Sega would give this game the budget for a new engine.)
