ni no mila kunis is still in the top 10!

Abash4099d ago

Very nice start to Sly 4's sales, I cant stress enough to not miss out on this game with how much content it has and it's one of the best D platformers this gen

Good_Guy_Jamal4099d ago

I don't know why yo people are exaggerating Sly sales but it's kinda sad. The game launched at $40 and has sold less than Twisted Metal (267K) on its debut week (in the US only) and that game was/is considered a commercial flop in some circles.
I just can't wrap my head around this pretense that it did wonderfully. I mean even the pre-orders were higher that than this.

neoMAXMLC4099d ago

"and that game was/is considered a commercial flop in some circles. "

You mean by the financial experts in the N4G comments section?

Silly gameAr4099d ago

@neoMax

Nah he means his circle of xbox buds on the gaming sites they frequent.

GrandTheftZamboni4099d ago

@Good_Guy_Jamal

You know Sly 4 is also offered as a digital download? That was my choice of distribution.

Dante1124099d ago (Edited 4099d ago )

@ aceitman

Actually the 360 had a 8 million unit lead (It's seems like the closer the PS3 gets, the shorter the 360's head start number becomes. The story keeps changing lol).

I'm with you Abash!

I have said it before - Sly 4 is the best Sly game to date.

All fans young and old should pick this up and enjoy a very good ride while supporting the game/franchise and the development group.

I thought PS3 had overtaken Xbox 360 in total global sales, or was I misinformed? What gives?

torchic4099d ago

we will get PS3 numbers from Sony at the end of the month.

if the PS3 hasn't overtaken the 360 (imo at the very least they're on par) already, the takeover will happen sometime this year.

Nykamari4099d ago

They are going to sell, $99 XBOX 360!

kikizoo4099d ago

They are already giving xbox with computers, etc since years...but can't compete with ps3 + library.

aceitman4099d ago (Edited 4099d ago )

The 360 had a 5 million units year head start . With a cheaper priced system , I give my hats to Sony if ther just 1.5 million behind , a price drop this week will catch that and pass it by end of spring. Even today the ps3 is still at a higher price

Lvl_up_gamer4099d ago (Edited 4099d ago )

VGChartz tracks sales from retail to general public which equates to market share.

The numbers you are referring too are "shipped" numbers given by a 3rd party and were stated as "estimates" and NOT Sony's own numbers, meaning what Sony sells TO retailers. So shipped numbers will always be higher then VGChartz numbers because obviously there are consoles in stock at retail from shipping. If you go to Gamestop and see available consoles on the shelves or floor, those are "shipped". When you buy one and walk out the door from retail, that is now a market share sale as you are now a customer that has purchased from retail.

Any more confusion?

Ripsta7th4099d ago

@kikizo - So has Sony, they gave out ps3s when selling their laptops and bravia hdtvs so i dnt get what your trying to say

Ni No kuni needs more ads.. Can't wait to see how the new marketing team handles game releases. They did the halo "believe" ad.

They also made this.
http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Anyway ni no kuni is better than cod.

And ps3 going hard!

Knight_Crawler4099d ago (Edited 4099d ago )

Call of Duty is still in the top ten!

Congrats Activison for making COD the most loved franchised by PS3 and 360 gamers this gen.

Hopefully you can continue the trend on the PS4 and 720.

Edit: Disagree all you want but the numbers do not lie and PS3 and 360 owners have spoken and they would prefer COD over Halo, Killzone or any other PS3 and 360 game.

MysticStrummer4099d ago

Yes, it can't be denied that the majority of humans are morons, therefore the majority of gamers are morons, therefore mindless bullshit sells well. Congratulations!

SilentNegotiator4098d ago

@DK

So what if the video game version of McDs sells best on both systems? Ps3 still has a much more genre-diverse library.

Hopefully it stays there. They said they'll make a sequel if the game sells well in the West.

Zodiac4100d ago

Both great games. Play Fire Emblem on Class,Lunatic. You will not thank be later.

Prodigy-X4100d ago

So happy Sly Cooper is #5 in the top 10

xursz4099d ago

Haha, Nintendo deserves love as well. They just really need to price drop the WiiU already.

Qrphe4099d ago

FE sold well and that's good (hopefully this makes Nintendo realize that they should localize more titles sooner). SC4 did pretty well for the 0 ads I saw for it.

PopRocks3594099d ago

I heard FE has completely sold out in some areas, which is pretty awesome for Nintendo fans if it entices Nintendo to change their strategy on what games to bring over.

Qrphe4099d ago

It had sold out in the GameStops around my area by the week of release. I just hope the sales were good enough for Nintendo to localize even more titles.
