Dead Space 3 Review | DaxGamer

DaxGamer writes:

'Videogames aren’t always logical, nor should they always be. One of the most successful video game franchises, and one of the highly rated as well, involves a cheery red-hatted Italian plumber venturing through lands of domesticated dinosaurs, side-strafing muffins with grimaces on their brown faces, and murderous, giant turtles at every turn. However, video games are not always solely about sheer fun and play. Sometimes they try to tell you a cohesive story that you could relate to, and, even if it’s 500 years in the future, you could maybe see it happening. That’s because they try to base the narrative and world itself within rationality. This allows the gamer to feel more connected to the game, some times. Now, of course, developers must not base their games in what is possible to immerse gamers. Incredible pieces of gaming like Journey and Limbo are very abstract, and obviously aren’t meant to be taken as literal. They’re artwork, and they are creations of a collective team of human minds, crafting an experience that evokes from the gamer emotional responses, goose bumps, chills, etc. But there is a very, well, vague line between these extremes.'

Im sorry but giving this game a rating past 7 is way too high. And im being generous. Im gonna keep it only to complete the trilogy cuz not only does the game fail with cheezy diaologue and boring gameplay but wht is up with the graphics?? I mean for a 2013 game funded by EA themselves, why doesnt ISSAC look as good as SHEPERD. Unacceptable. And whts with the clouds in the opening intro?? They look like to be sprites like in those pop-up books. Unacceptable. The only thing saving this game is the story

The PC graphics are nothing short of awful. The lip sync and face appearances aren't even close to matching the par of current gen games.

Outside of the story the game offers repetitive combat, repetitive environments and for god sake, how many elevators do you need in a single game? Learn how to create distinct environments already.

Why Dead Space 3 Will Be the Hardest to Remake

If EA and Motive Studio plan on remaking all the main Dead Space entries, they have to change a lot of what made Dead Space 3 so divisive.

Simple, do not bother with a Dead Space 3 remake. Rather have a new entry for Dead Space.

Yeah I agree. Make a dead space 3, but have an original story/setting. They’ve proven they can do the game justice, and I think they could evolve 2 in a good direction, keeping a similar tone. I’d love s Dead Space 2 and 3 though. The remake was fantastic. Top tier remake, up there with RE2.

Remaking 3 would need to be a reworked and somewhat changed remake as 3 was flawed in most peoples eyes and the worst entry.

It's the worst in the series.

Dead Space 3, A Ten Year Reunion

WTMG's Kyle Nicol:

"Was Dead Space 3 really that bad?

Well, it’s a complicated question. Dead Space 3 is undeniably the weakest of the trilogy. It’s a game that deviates so far from the original formula, that it throws a lot of what made Dead Space special in the first place out of the window. Although, where it does make up for it is one of the best cooperative shooters on the market, even after all this time. Do I recommend playing this game ten years later? Hell yes. But make sure your expectations are in the right place. It has a lot of problems that bring it down."

They need to seriously continue this ip with a new entry. Even if it's just another movie I don't care I love everything about this game.
